Top 5 of the year

Now that the year is wrapping up, what are everyone's favorite games of the year.

I think I'd go:

1. Journey
2. The Walking Dead
3. Xcom
4. Mass Effect 3 (ending didn't kill it for me - still a great experience)
5. Assassin's Creed 3

Pretty interesting that my top 2 are indie downloadable games, but they were pretty far and away my favorite experiences this year. Still have to play a bunch - Dishonored is sitting on the table.

I didn't get a current generation system until Black Friday of 2011, and I'm playing catch up with PS3 games,,, so take my list as a novice contribution,,,, but I totally enjoyed a few games in 2012 in spite of all the chaos of the year for me personally.

My favorite games that I played in 2012 were,,,

1 Red Dead Redemption (I have a feeling this will end up being my favorite game of all time)
2 Uncharted 3
3 Assassin's Creed 3
4 Journey
5 The Jak and Daxter collection

I picked up a sleeper the other day that I'm really enjoying,,, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
