So, since I started this thread, saying I was going to use the same flavor for fairness sake, I've gone through more than 300ml of Apocalyptic Walker Peanut Butter and Banana eliquid. You'd think id be tired of it by now, but I'm not...

I will admit to occasionally sneaking in another RTA filled with something a little lighter...
May I suggest to edit the first page with a ratting, or with a quick pros / cons for reference? It’s getting chaotic here

I never got used to peanut butter. The bestselling flavors here are flan con dulce de leche and dulce de leche alone... too sweet!

Yes. And my apologies for spamming the hell out of the like button! Great thread.

Just picked up my first RTA – Geek Vape Zeus Dual. Really enjoying it
I had started a leakproof atty thread, never mind. I enjoy the Manta MTL, the Mage2 and the Aromamizer as well. They're more leak resistant, problem is condensation inside the chamber leaking through air holes. The flavor is more intense, but, I have both types.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen one. Selection here in Canada can be a bit limited. Very large country with a spread out smallish population leads to distribution challenges. So stores, both online and brick and mortar, tend to carry only the more well known brands. And with the value of the Canadian dollar, it can be more expensive ordering in from the states, assuming of course the product gets by customs which have been known to halt deliveries for reasons unknown.

If you can find the Wotofo Serpent SMM you're basically looking at the same deck. The Manta has smaller air holes.

Is it made by Smok? Cause we have a plethora of Baby, Price, Beast, Cobra, Priv products here in the Great White North (FTR…I know Wotofo is not Smok, just poking fun at the Canadian vaping market).

I’ll keep my eye open. Thx!

I know this is looked kind of down on but would you consider using Smok TV8 X baby tank? It is a top air/fill and rba's are available for it. It has a smallish dual deck so selection in which coils to use could be limited to 2.5 or 3.0 diameter but it does not leak and does give great flavor. This links was picked at random, I have found cheaper rba's elsewhere.......

I have one, and was going to post that last week, but I forgot my build kit the day I was gonna... Took the build kit the next day, but forgot the tank (y'all got the Solomon 2, etc. in its place). I'll likely get it next Monday.

For an affordable system, I also suggest the TFV8-X with the RBA.
Now I'm not a Dual coil user myself, but I tried them and now have them as a backup.
The RBA works great with the less expensive clone Fasttech sells too!

@SupplyDaddy

I wish it was a single coil deck. Being a smaller deck than I am used and dual coil, for me, isn't putting it on the list for my fav tank, but I do get longevity with the rba and a great tasting vape. Also not crazy about the swivel top either, but it works.

I put mine on the shelf because it was a juice hungry little bugger, but it works well.

Hope you enjoy the Zeus Dual. I use mine in dual coil mode all the time, The flavor is intense! Only drawback is how quickly it empties. But well worth the effort to refill since it is so damn easy to fill.

Two days in and loving it so far! Yeah it can sure drink some juice, and batteries too compared to my usual setup haha. I had just bought a couple of flavored juices I was holding aside for it, and WOW. And man holy crap does this thing have AIR! I have it about a quarter of the way open and its probably still pulling more air than my Cthulhu MTL wide open, which I thought was huge! Had to swap the 810 for the 510 cause it was just too much airflow. I don't know how people vape like that??

So far so good though, got one of the pre-built claptons in it (Im assuming why Im using so much juice) and bumped up from 18w to 28w and have the temp set at 440 degrees. First time using TC, took a bit of playing but its working good now. Probably should rewick it though. I used a piece of Japanese cotton I had cut for the length of the Cthulhu, so I don't think the tails are going all the way to the base. One side is alot thinner since it was the side I twisted and pulled through, and then tried to comb it out, gotta start with a longer piece next time.

First up, today, is the original OBS Engine (don't panic... The X-Baby tank is next).

This is the original top air RTA. It's 25mm at the base and does not bell out anywhere. It does step down for the airflow. The Engine (all of them) use 510 drip tips, and the pop-up ring for filling the tank. Oh, and it is roughly 55mm tall and holds 5.2ml.

The Engine is about 2 years old. The deck is really the only indication of its age, though... A very standard (for that time period) velocity deck...
1537199267263321.jpg
I was a little worried that my standard fused Clapton build would not fit in this relatively antique deck, but lo and behold, a 6 wrap, 3mm ID SS316L 26x2/36 build tucked right in with no issues.
153719926699788.jpg
Knowing that the air is coming in from the top of the chamber, I positioned the coils a little high...
1537199266737239.jpg
As with building on a velocity deck, wicking is also a breeze. I cut the wicks to the width of the deck (and could have been a little shorter).
1537199266458601.jpg
Brush out and tuck in. In my opinion, tucking them in on this deck is kinda vital... Prevents flooding and cuts down on spitback.

Prime, assemble, fill, vape...
1537199265674238.jpg
The flavor is still good. Every bit as good as the Zeus Dual. The air is a bit tighter than the Zeus Dual, but oddly a bit more than the Engine 2. Vapor production is what you'd expect from a dual coil RTA with a 510 drip tip.

There are a few drawbacks to the original Engine: If it's not wicked just so, it'll flood and spitback will be unbearable for the first few vapes. When filling, it seemed to always leave a ring of juice around the pop top. If the coils are positioned low, flavor can be a little lacking.

All in all, it still stands up to modern competition, and beats its successor...

YMMV

Funny, absolutely no panic here. I can just see you not being too happy about this tank. Not much room to work in.......but that's ok, I had a few choice words muttered under my breath too.....LOL
