I heard back from MFS, They said if you put in the comments that you want the extra bottle. I think this is kind of sketchy on their part. They should know just to send one extra unless they plan to keep them for sale.
Yeah...considering that the bottle was probably taped to the outside of the mod's box.

Glad that you got TC to work! I downloaded the TC firmware update tonight and tried (with no success) to get the firmware to load. I started the program... depressed + and - buttons... connected the cable and the Start button NEVER activates. Tried for over an hour, restarted PC etc with no luck...
ANY Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
So there is no Variable Voltage mode then?[/QUOTE

All functions exist.
The highlighted one is TCR

This is TC firmware.

Battery out and atomizer off? What happens when you don't push the buttons and just plug it in?

Battery out and atomizer off (check)... no change just plugging it in either.
Did you try a different cable or perhaps another device that uses data with the supplied cable?
Does your computer indicate that something just got plugged in?

Used another known good cable with no change. Tried both usb slots on pc.
No indication that anything is plugged in other that a barcode reader that I don't have.

Well I suppose the next thing would be to try it on another computer, at least plug the mod into it and see if Windows makes the tone for a device connected.
You might try right clicking the firmware application and select "Run as Administrator"
K... I'll try that, as I only have the one Windows laptop that I only use for devices that won't update on a Mac.

Plug something else in the usb port to verify it's active. Open the Device Manager and make sure you have a usb controller. When you plug in the Topside without a battery it should turn on. If nothing is happening something is not right (obviously).

VaporDNA emailed me back same day and are sending an extra bottle. They said the confusion from retailers is that the bottles come in sperate packaging. Cant blame them too much, not every employee is going to familar with every new product.

I would put this on the packaging design. But oh well new bottle coming. Mod is great so far, thinking of ordering another but I would have to get some extra batteries as well.

When I plug it in (without battery or atty) the topside turns on ... But the firmware software never activates the START button. When folloeing instruction or just plugging it in.

If you have the up and down buttons pressed it won't turn on till you release them.
I just tried getting the update app to activate the start button using my desktop (which is what I used before) and nothing. I then downloaded the firmware on my laptop, first it failed (Windows) to properly load driver and on retry it activated the start button but it's connection failed and wouldn't start again. Back to the desktop I tried the non-tc firmware with no luck.

I guess it is still buggy! Thank you

Dang this is annoying, so after much messing around here's what I see. With a computer re-boot the start button will become active for about 1 second or so. After numerous re-boots this was the case. On the last re-boot I didn't start the application but instead went to Windows Device Manager, with the two buttons pressed I then plugged in the USB, It connected then disconnected within a second. This fault is with the device not the app software.

I just flashed mine again TC, here's what took place.
With the app open and the up and down buttons pressed I connected the cable, then released the two button.
In just a moment the start button highlighted and at that very moment I hit it (only have a second) and it started and finished. Remember I said when I released the buttons after connecting the cable is when the start button highlights. Hope this is of some help. I didn't have tore-boot my computer for this BTW.
