Oh I thought your 0nic base was already 80/20. If you want your final liquid to be 20% VG and your nicotine is in PG, then you would just calculate 20% of your total liquid to get the VG portion. Sounds like you're making 8ml, so it would be 1.6ml of VG. Then you subtract that from the 4ml PG/VG amount it told you to get the PG amount (4-1.6=2.4ml PG).

If you aren't too worried about precise VG %'s in your final mix, you can premix your 0nic PG and VG at whatever ratio you want and it will only fluctuate a little depending on the flavoring %. In this case, 1.6/4=40% VG so if you premix a 60/40 PG/VG solution you can just use that for everything. It's also easier to work with that way, saving you a step in mixing and keeping you from handling 100% VG too often.

Which part is critical to you?

The PG/VG final ratio?
The nic strength?
The flavoring percentage?

The suggestion for premixing your 0mg PG & VG was an example of keeping things simple that works great if the PG/VG final ratio is not your critical concern. I honestly have no idea why folks get so hung up on that part of mixing if no allergies are involved.

Your recipe works for the nic strength and the flavor percentage you wanted. Is having the PG/VG ratio off something that would bugger a whole batch?

How does it taste? How does it hit? How is the vapor production? If you have 2 out of 3 then you've done pretty good for the first attempt and you can adjust the next batch accordingly.
