I've been trying to figure out Halo Tribeca for a while now.
Its become a bit of a unicorn for me. I do like the juice, but I don't love it. Or I guess it has something that I love, hence the obessession.
My sense of its flavor profile is basically: caramel, vanilla, something nutty. My first instinct was hazelnut. Maybe a dash TA or EM
My own experiments with FA caramel, TPA toasted almond, and recently Cap Hazelnut and caramel all yielded vapable stuff, but still not right
The other day I got my double RY4 and the second I smelled it, I was floored. It smells exactly like Tribeca to me. I was wondering whether Halo was just that lame, or Linda was that good at emulating flavors
Anyway, mixed up a batch at 10%. Almost right. I'd say 90%. It was missing sweetness, intensity, and what I can't describe better than broadness
Increased to 15%. More intense, a tad more sweet, not broader or fuller. Also picked up a bit of a chemical tone, though it does need to steep more. I added 3 drops of EM (10% in PG) to 5 mls. Don't yet have the cojones to add vape wizard.
Its so close its driving me NUTS. But its not yet right. What's off is still
sweetness: maybe EM will fix it. I really don't think its sucralose in there, so I don't plan on trying that
nuttiness?/caramel-ness?: def nothing in the above that I tried, not sure what to do here.
broadness: no idea, we'll see if EM gives it body. this might be the same ingredient as the nutty/caramel
if you like tribeca, or care to give feedback, please chime in. I'd love to have a dirty cheap Tribeca clone that we can share with the vaping world!
