I made up a small 5ml bottle @ 5% spearmint, have to say it tastes putrid...and dumped it down the drain, notice my KFL tank is cloudy looking, I've cleaned my tank with dish washing liquid, rinsed it off good, left it sitting in hot water and the taste won't let go. I put a pretty strong tobacco blend I had made and I can still taste the spearmint...I'm dumping this whole bottle of spearmint and then burning/burying the plastic bottle...geeze

What's wrong with the taste - too strong, not according to name, or what?

I'm not a spearmint fan and haven't tried this one. I have tried TPA's Peppermint, which is a peppermint + spearmint flavor. In fact with a little Sucralose, it makes a Doublemint Gum flavor. Misnamed flavors are a pet-peeve of mine.

I always assumed mint flavors are tank-crackers and use them only in glass or metal. If your tank isn't ruined, you might get the taste out by soaking 24 hours in pure grain alcohol or rubbing alcohol (that's what I use). Rinse really well afterward.

Don't give up on it yet. I started with TFA spearmint at 4% and it was way too much. When I make it now I only use about 2% spearmint with a bit of EM/Cotton Candy.

The sweetener takes a bit of the edge off the spearmint. If you don't want to sweeten it at all you may only need to go to about 1 -1.5%

These flavors need heavy dilution just like Cinnamon and Anise will destroy a tank. I destroyed an iClear30 with a mere drop of TFA Absinthe (mixing in tank) before realizing how strong it was. However with more PG less flavoring is needed which means greater dilution without less flavor loss. Many vendors use heavy PG with tank crackers for this reason and also for the fact PG is by far cheaper then adding more flavoring to a juice with greater VG.
