I see a lot of comments about the quality of the local B&Ms. That is the one thing that the FDA is going to help us with... Just as online, there's a million shoddy vendors cause it's easy to launch a business, as things tighten up, only the strong will survive.... just like NT is stepping up its game, the B&Ms that want to make it will as well. I was just in a new B&M today with an actual clean room for mixing, really nice place... Lots of mod's, all kinds of stuff... 3rd in their chain... The s...holes won't last when they can't move cheap liquid to a bunch of newbs without regulatory concerns... Going to be more "Brands" such as NT carried, and going to be more legitimate, if you will, stores...

Bottom line, I think that will iron itself out, but we just need to help the process by keeping our eyes and wallets focused on the shops that are trying to do it right.

I agree....The pending FDA regulation ( if it comes to fruition as currently proposed) will serve to weed out most of the B&M's that are less than prepared to continue on within the proposed guidelines. I have been to many B&M's and can usually tell within the first thirty seconds or so which ones are worth my time.

Up until recently, vaping has been a wide open frontier in which anyone with a capital source and a half an ounce of sense has been eligible to jump on the trend. The ones with the true passion and strength to succeed will be the ones who ultimately survive unless of course there is an outright prohibition on all things vape related. However, I feel this to be a long shot as there is too much money to be made.

As far as suggesting that your local B&M carry Nicoticket, yes, you will come across shops who mix their own liquid or turn their noses up at anything that they may not carry but, this is a natural tendency as they are there to stay in business and the only way to do that is to sell the inventory that they carry.

I have never suggested that any shop carry my preference. The better shops are quite friendly and fairly open minded so after chatting for a while and when they ask as to what you are currently vaping it is usually only to get a feel for what flavors you may prefer so that they can recommend the products that they carry on hand.

To this my response usually goes something like this.." Today, I am enjoying Nicoticket Roundhouse. Its a cherry rose tobacco vape and it's really quit nice". At which point I will often pull my drip tip and offer up my device and follow with " Go ahead and put a drip tip on this and try it if you'd like." More often than not, this is greeted with something along the lines of "Sure, Thank You" if the person behind the counter takes the passion for vaping at heart. After that, if that person knows quality juice, Nicoticket usually speaks for itself.

He meant if people were stuck with awful tasting juice, that he would be more prone to go back to analogs. He said this because he is worried with online sales going away that he will not be able to get decent juice and in his personal opinion believes that he would rather smoke analogs than have awful juice. Let him have his opinion please and try to be civil. We are supposed to be a family so be kind to each other that is all. Vape on :vapor:
Odd - i loved the first one of the day more than the others.

"Being stuck with crap juice is worse than smoking analogs." On what basis? I'll accept any medical or scientific opinion on the matter.

Consistency and easy access...err NT juice and not leaving your armchair would cover those bases no? Which is in fact what this entire thread is about - the drive to improve consistency of the product line and elevate it above regulatory suspicion.

Try harder.

I am a little worried about price though as I have noticed that all B&M's I have been to up the price on everything they sell in order to make a profit. I refuse to buy any equipment from the shops around here as it is at least a 50 percent markup on hardware, 100 percent markup in some cases. I would only assume that they will carry this over to juice to, it is just depressing to know that after the government gets done with us I feel like I will end up paying a as much as I paid when I smoked analogs.

I raised the issue of an internet ban early in this thread, and disagreeing with someone does not mean i have to be uncivil to them and i wasn't, but thank you for paraphrasing his comment for me, in case i didn't understand the full implications the first time. I have rethought my initial reaction to JC's post and decided that i do owe him an apology for taking his comments literally.

Sorry JC.

Since when were families kind to one another?

The truth here is that while there is a common belief that most B&M's ( or for that matter small business's in general) often jack up the prices in order to make more profit while the reality is that overhead costs such as rent, insurances, utilities, labor costs and advertising are usually the culprits in additional costs. However, there are indeed those who take overpricing a bit to far. Personally, I don't mind paying a little more as long as the item is in stock and the quality is there. For me, it all comes down to customer service in my decision to lay down my hard earned cash or...NOT.

Congrats on making the "Big Time", Clark.

DITTO THIS TO THE "nTh" DEGREE!!
And.....Clark will ABSOLUTELY PROVE......that a "Big Time" business does NOT mean "Too Big For Our Britches"!!!:D
They say: "Go BIG...or GO HOME!"....
Clark has "Gone Big...AT HOME!!!":toast:
My local smoke shop has recently added a vape shop...I haven't had the chance to make it in....but I'll be dropping the owner an NT business card
in the next day or two.....and relate my own experience with Nicoticket, LLC....
There's an old expression ---- "Good news comes in "threes".....
Clark's new venture......the POSITIVE turn-around for our Market Basket "Family".....and....the iPhone 6......
What's to say....but.....well.......... Vitale says it best:
"It's AWESOME, Baby.....WITH A CAPITAL "A"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
America, the BEAUTIFUL!!:vapor:
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Absolutely, and right now, there is a relatively small number of us :vapor: to support all the stores cropping up. As vaping becomes increasingly popular, and as the number of stores moderate to a more reasonable level to serve the :vapor: population, they won't have the need to mark up quite as bad.. Everything will iron itself out, just going to take some time. I know 3 people that have switched to vaping just since I did cause of seeing me do it and asking questions... This snowball, although not new, is just starting to hit critical mass...
