Not sure how to explain this, but I have a picture that can help. But basically I'm used to building coils 1 way for the tanks I've used. But now with this tank, I have to build them backwards. Or in other words, I'm building them basically upside down. Am I supposed to be wrapping the coil from left to right? Not sure how to explain this or if anyone can tell me how to wrap this the right way. I'm having a brain fart, the coil on the right in the picture is a prebuilt for this tank, the regular round wire coil on the left is what I'm used to building. I need to be able to wrap it wit h the leads like the one on the right. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I don't wrap counter clockwise for the serpent, because it's easier to install a normal over hand wrap, especially with thinner wire. Let me explain, do your normal clockwise wrap style but with the leads finishing an extra 1/4 wrap (so 5 1/4 or 6 1/4 or 4 1/4 whatever), so you'll have the leads at about a 90 degree angle to each other. Then place the coil in the serpent, the 90 degree bends should want to push the coil back up, so hold it down in place and look at that, the leads line up exactly with the grub screws, works great with thinner wires that like to slide under the grub screws and anything from 2.5mm to 4mm ID. Good luck.
