I am having alot of trouble deciding between finishing building my evercool mod or buying a lavatube. I am great at building things so the build shouldn't be a problem. The problems I am seeing with the lavatube are associated with the parts/build quality, that said it seems I could put good quality parts in my mod and avoid that issue. Still somereason I am drawn to the lavatube. I can't afford a provari so that is out for now. I was planning on using this box and putting a meter in it

5V 1A Output USB 18650 Battery Box Charger Portable Mobile Power Supply Box | eBay

for my evercool. With a nice paint job and a small meter where the button on the case is in the top box seems like it might be a solid performer. Anyone have any reasons why or why not for one or the other? Cost and something that is going to last are important to me not an introduction to vv. Oh and I am a big fan of using my modified smoketech dc tank with boge 2 ohm cartos not sure if that makes a difference.

thanks

The LT will be quite limited on what carto/atty you can run on it @ higher voltages , this (IMO) pretty much defeats several of the "plus factors" of VV for at least many of us VV vapers. I'd also expect the box would last much longer if used regularly as from what I understand the LT isn't a long lasting device , and using tanks on a LT can/will void the warranty if they discover this has been stated on here several times.

I don't know if that is any help but I love box mods for the reasons ^

Find the enclosure you want that will fit the internals and build and evercool, no question about it. Whether you use the TI or OKR regulator you're going to have much better performance with them in every way. You can even incorporate a meter in it with very easily or just get a screw on meter if you want.

No question here, unless you just have to have a tube.
