Hey all. I am a relative noobie to the Buzz. Got it about a week ago. I have 2 questions if you would be so kind as to help.
1- My 808 adapter has a REALLY tight draw. Like impossible to draw through. I tweaked the carto to no avail. Using Boge 3 Ohm cartos.
2- With a 3 Ohm 801, the LED stays red like it is shorting. Using AW 16340's which can handle the load in other mods.

Any help for me?

Some of them adapters cause that to happed. Check to see if there is any juice in the adapter or the barttery end of your carto. Wipe it and blow it out real good. Then put your adapter on first. Make sure not to over tighten it oe it will short. Next put the carto on. Hold the button down as you slowly tighten it and as soon as it makes contact stop. If you over tighten either the insulator will smash and short out.

Doc what is the Native connection 901 ? if so I take it you are using the 901-808 adapter we have right ?
If so some cartos want more air flow than others ( there is a toin of variation between MFG of cartos ! )
you may want to change it to a 808 top cap and use the O-ring we supply when using 901 attys on an 808 cap.

This thread made me try a V4L Cool Cart on my Buzz with the native 808 connector and they aren't working, no draw at all. It works fine on the lower resistance WOW cartos. I hadn't used a Cool Cart yet, apparently.

I can continue to use only my WOW cartos, as I want to use Ikenvapes mega 808's as soon as he gets them back in stock. Then I will set my Buzz up to use the 808 megas exclusively. How exactly do I adjust the draw on the Buzz?

Most of the time if you pull the center out a little on the carto they will work fine. I had to adjust the coolcarts to work on my wifes buzz

Yeah, I'm aware of the post fix, but this is a draw problem, not a contact problem with the center post.

I saw what Wharf Rat said, but am reluctant to do anything just yet. I did poke around at the washer, but it was not going to come out easilly, so I figured I'd wait till I get those 808 megas to see how they might work before removing or adjusting any parts. I can use the WOW carts in the meantime.

SO do you have a 808 native top cap Matches ? and what are the cool carts and who sells them ? they must be made differently than regular 808's ! I really wish these MFG would be consistent I am chasing my tail because they are NOT !

Use an 901-808 adapter that will fix it.

Here, too. The last batch of CoolCartos I ordered were the worst ever for being persnickety like that...All the older ones I have work fine without any adjustments.

BTW, I have an 808 (slotted 901?) on my Buzz. I took the o-ring off the first day and never looked back being the carto queen I am. I do have a 901 atty and carts, never liked it much, anyways :)

Yes, as far as I know my Buzz has an 808 native. That is how I ordered it. I became confused when someone told me it would be a 901 even if I ordered an 808 saying that is what Notcigs uses when you order an 808. At that point I ordered some 901 batt to 808 adapters which should arrive tomorrow.

Yes the WOW carts and cool carts are V4L cartos. The WOWs are the LR 808's, but not real low, like 2.4 maybe 2.3 and they get hot on the Buzz. The cool carts are 2.8-3.0 808's. I get no draw on the cool carts. The WOW draw is also slightly hard to draw, but OK.

I don't want to mess with it until I can try some mega 808's from Ikenvape, but they are out of stock at the moment. I want to settle on these mega 808's for my standard Buzz cart. So, I don't want to change anything until I get some mega 808's to try out.

Is the washer easy to remove and reinstall? I didn't want to damage it, so I left it in there. I can't see any difference on the battery end of these two cartos, but obviously there is something different.

V4L Cool Carts are notorious for not fitting well, EVEN on V4L batts! All you have to do is take your little BUZZ screwdriver and go around the center post of the CARTO and gently lift up on it all the way around. That always does the trick for me. It's just what you need to make the connection to get fire. Doing this won't change your BUZZ at all - just a tiny "tweak" on the Cool Cart, that's all.

Thanks, but again, this is not a problem with a lack of contact from the 808 batt connector to the center post of a cool cart.

I cannot draw ANY air from it at all. There is NO air. It's like sucking on a finger.

I use a pin to lift the center post on cool carts. That does fix electrical contact problems. This is not that. It's a zero draw problem. If you can't draw any air on a PV, it doesn't work even if it uses a 100 volt supply! This is an airflow problem. Like trying to drink from a beer can without pulling the tab.
