Does anyone know how to clean the rubbery finish on some of the joyetech ego batteries? I got a white one, and I'm seriously wishing I got the silver instead. It looks so dirty. I've tried all kinds of soaps, bleach, goo be gone (adhesive remover), Mr. Clean magic eraser, comet....I haven't tried is a degreaser, laundry detergent or baking soda yet. On to those next, but I don't have a lot of hope.
Maybe I should just buy some printed/colored duct tape and just cover it up?
I have moved on from ego batteries for the most part, but I want to give it to a smoker I know, and I don't want it to look so gross.

There are other posts about this problem within the forums, and after a quick review of a few of them, I didn't see a good answer. I would have thought dish soap would work because I'm betting the dirt sticks due to the oils in our hands. If it's good enough for cleaning sea otters covered in crude oil, you'd think it would work for a rubber battery but then again, are sea otters white?

I have just the thing for you. Rubbing alcohol. A bit on a cotton ball. I learned that from my work, we would use it on our white nursing shoes. It works. Maybe not like new but big improvement.

ETA: Now that you mentioned it I went and cleaned up my eGos. It does work well. My 7 month old pink eGos are pink again and not dusty grey rose.
