Trying to convert as many smokers as I can. Possibly saving a life here and there. My cousin is always wanting to try mine and new flavors I get. When my Provari arrives I am going to give him the first setup I got, two eGo-C batteries and recommend cartos, tanks, clearos, etc.

Anyone else out there trying to convert someone to vaping or have already successfully done so?

Please share your stories here and celebrate! :toast:

Two converts here so far, a friend of mine and wrenfisher's mom. She's not 100% yet, but she has cut way back on her smoking. And they're spreading the word, too. It's hard not to when it's something so life changing.

I would have more, but my social circle is currently...limited :) I'm always looking for an opportunity to bring it up, though, usually by conspicuously vaping. People in small towns are too damned polite, though, and I rarely get asked.

Nice job you two! I get asked about it all the time and people want to try, so much so that I carry some spare tips with me so I don't have everyone putting their mouth all over mine! A friend of mine started trying mine on Thanksgiving, she really likes my juices. She has two smaller ecigs with pre filled juice cartridges. Needless to say, she liked my setup better. She still smokes cigs here and there, but if she upgrades here juice and setup she might just ditch them all together!

My renter in attached studio downstairs? I mean I gave him 30 ml e juice 36 mg tobacco flavor i ordered by accident and I sold him a clearo and a ego VV and charger for cheaper. Been awhile and he's using the same clearo! Was a vision ce4. EVERYBODY is different. Well some people are really different. He might be one. Like he won't use it in front of people because the first time he did he got those "looks". Then he won't ask more about it; guessing he doesn't like a chick to know more about something. He did quit cigs last week. How I found out is he actually talked. I mean we had a few conversations and now he still puffs on his set up, kinda would like a new clearo...he's not sure. Maybe he's wanting to not do nicotine at all? 40 years old so probably pretty much knows what he wants. Yup. Everybody is different. Interesting.

Please don't misunderstand me when I say the following:

"Converting" people may be misconstrued. The only comparison I can make is to a new-born Christian. They are utterly convinced (and well they should be) that their souls are saved, and their first instinct after getting "on fire for God" is to share their good news and their experience with others, with the intention that maybe these other people might feel this life-changing experience, too. And I think that's awesome. I love to see new-born Christians just soak up all the goodness.

But all the rest may not want to, or be ready to, hear your testimony, and by sharing it you might be doing more harm than good. To bring it back to the topic on hand, I hit my vape in the presence of my fellow smokers. I do it confidently. If, and only if, a smoker sees me and asks what I'm doing, I'll explain it to the best of my ability. But I do not actively seek out smokers to "convert". It may turn them off. They will see the light and come to you eventually to seek your vaping wisdom.

We should all be patient. (For the Jedi, it is time to eat as well, mmm!)

I have bought 2 setups like mine for my daughter and her boyfriend that they will get for Christmas. I will be getting some juice to go along with it. I will get them started but it will be up to them if they continue. I have shown our nephew and gave a business card to him just yesterday during our yearly family get together. He and I are the only smokers. He was very interested and his dad thanked me for spending time and discussing this possibility with his son. The nephew was seeing how this is really working for me and showed genuine interest. So hopefully <fingers crossed> I think he also liked the fact that I could vape in the house the get together was held at. ;)

I tried to get my Sweeties mom to change over but alas, even after giving her all the equipment that was needed and also taking her (without her daughter's knowledge) to a local shop to find a flavor she liked, she still will not touch them. Just keeps using the stinkies. Those that want to change will and those that don't want to change won't. And we have to face the facts that not all people want to change. Sad but true.

I only discuss vaping when approached (I do publicly flaunt my PVs). Da 'crowd' down at my 'office' (local boat ramp hang out) has witnessed me go from 2 PaD to nineteen months of vaping; silently 'speaking' and vaping volumes!

Thus far I have thirty 'notches' on my PV. My v-verts (vaping converts) count on me to keep 'em supplied and up to date on 'new' equipment/jooses. Wouldn't mind losing that aspect... but I'll continue doing so as long as I can. I'd rather see a lazy vaper than an accomplished smoker...

I'd say of those thirty, that 'bout 70% have stopped 'bakky completely.

Walkin' da walk'... errr... Vapin' da vape has been quite successful in my v-vert recruitment!

I got my husband converted. Started working on him back in Oct. 2011, and he was receptive, but didn't really follow through. Finally last June he took the plunge and committed. I've talked to several people who've asked about my PV...and passed out a few cards. Have no idea if any of them did anything about changing over. But at least I could add a link to the chain that maybe, eventually, will get them off the smokes.

I must be one of those lucky few who switched immediately. It must have been the combination of the desire to truly change, having a set up that worked for me, and the support of all the other PAD smokers at work who just as easily switched to the vape. It wasn't even a struggle for me. I think my fascination with the futurism of it all also played a major role. Plus, it looked "cool" to me, just as cool as real cigs looked back when I was 18.
