Hi Kristin,, I've been a bit out of the loop lately, (I've been helping my mom after my dad's passing), but here's a question, and a thought.
Who would do the research? How well organized is the effort???
I'll just toss out a thought in the hopes someone might pick it up,,,
Has anyone thought of starting something like an
ecig company that sold stock? It's noble to donate money to the cause, but if we were able to start a corporation, we MIGHT see a return on our money if we were successful. (take the Packers as an example)
Incorporating would give us a shot at a profit if we succeed, but donors would be investors. They may never get a return, that would need to be made clear from the outset, but,,,,, hey,,,,, we might be able to earn enough to get some supplies somewhere down the road. It seems to me that paying for tests like these are a cost of doing business for those with a stake in the industry. Investing in a company would give us a shot at a small stake in it, or maybe just a cool certificate that says we were part of trying. Just a thought.
I'm totally convinced with every fiber of my being that Ecigs have a tremendous benefit to us, and that there will be a test that will conclusively prove it. If we could ever get to a point where the lives of the consumer mattered to the opponents of ecigs, even these tests are a waste. We really just need manufacturing, labeling and marketing standards. If we could just turn thier heads to realize that if this has the potential to be safer for nicotine users, it should be promoted, or at least explored objectively. That's for another thread, though.
