I didn't have a problem with my atty being off centered.....But then again I'm a bit off center, so there's that.

Both look fine to me. Being a Nuppin' user and being 18mm vs, 22mm there would be no overhang.
Will you be getting different colored delrins in the future? Like black??

already have black delrin, and white delrin... thinking about mixing these up and pairing them up for some contrasting looks, a blue body with a black door and chip cover or a white body with blue, etc etc...


I think it looks worse in pics than it does in person, it def doesn't look awkward or "off" in hand, but I guess I kinda knew if I asked then the resounding answer here would be centered and really, what is centered anyway? I mean no matter what the atty is off to one side anyway to follow where the bottle is

I use a few 22m atties, so I think the slight overhang would bother me more than the door sliding down. I personally think the more centered 510 looks better, too, but I don't doubt it's less dramatic in person. Also, I've only had a door come off that was held on by magnets, never had an issue with sliding door on a track.

EDIT: I absolutely see the value in the way you originally designed it-- The one or two times my door came off, it sucked (battiery goes rolling under the couch, etc) But if I had a choice, I would choose centered/door sliding down, just because I like the way it looks better and I don't tend to drop my mods very often.

well on the wood mods I need to leave a slight amount of wiggle room for the door to account for weather changes and swelling/shrinking, otherwise on very humid days or in a hot steamy shower the door could actually get stuck, but on the delrin and ultems I can make the doors pretty snug, so falling off is pretty much not going to happen no matter what, they really don't even need magnets, they slide smoothly but with a little resistance pretty much the whole way

Great to hear you have different colors in Delrin! Makes for creative combos.
Not holding you to it but do you have estimated production timetable? Are you doing batches of woods first, then ultems, then delrins? Gotta start the saving up process.

right now I'm doing a little bit of everything, I mean I am primarily working my way down the list, many of the early listers are in for wood so I'm doing these woods a few at a time side by side while also building some ultems and delrins. I have been waiting for my orders of ultem and delrin for a while now but everything has come in so I really do need to get some of those into production too. wait till you see the black ultem, it's really sick, matte black even when polished, it's like the space age material stealth bomber of mods

so far the past few months have been mainly tooling up and refining my production techniques and ironing out all the details but now I really need to start paying the bills speaking of which, I do have 2 mods here there were built for no one in particular that are available now to anyone who wants either of them, they are both rosewoods, one has an african blackwood face plate the other is brass, both dna75's... standard price on these is $440 each but since they were built for no one in particular and since you won't have any choices in choosing woods or anything else really, I am willing to discount them a bit. if anyone is interested in either one lmk and I'll make you a deal, these have nothing to do with list spots I love the black faced one but I can't keep them all

money order is no problem, but unfortunately the black faced one sold just minutes after it was listed to spacetime I'm really sorry.

I love that mod and am going to be sorry to see it go, it really turned out to be one of my all time favorite looking mods, just enough red, just enough black, and the ultem buttons really bring out that brass trim...

Wow, those are beautiful! Almost makes me reconsider my material choice... but I keep hearing space age, sick, stealth bomber, and matte black... I think I gotta stick with the ultem. Plus, I got one 7068 CC, that takes care of the metal, a lil Pinch in the works right this minute, which takes care of the wood... and nobody else is making ultem squonkers (that I know of) and if they are, they are certainly nowhere near this level of precision.
