I took the first survey and started the second, but the second one took too long. Sorry.
Which one was too long? The CASAA survey or the university survey?

Either way, these will both be very important for getting people to understand the needs & wants of ADULT users and demonstrate the usefulness of ecigarettes and smokeless alternatives to the ignorant public.

Those of us working to protect your right to access these products STRONGLY encourage you all to take 15-30 minutes of your day to participate in BOTH. That time "wasted" will seem like a drop in the bucket compared to the years that will be taken off of your life, if you are forced back to smoking because ecigs are banned due to ignorance and misconception!

If anyone is short on free time it's me. I manage two stores, sing in a band, run like 4 websites and am in the process of promoting a show. 30 minutes of my time is no small thing. It took me over an hour to finish both surveys because I was interrupted so often. I MADE time. This is important enough to make time for. In my opinion CASAA is our greatest hope. Our country is being run by vicious corrupt criminals who will not be happy until every e-cig user is forced back to tobacco. CASAA is our voice. It is our final front against this tyranny. I strongly reccomend that each and every e-cig user get involved and make the time to do all you can, before it's too late!

I'm trying to take the Geneva survey, but their questions are not designed for experienced vapers.

I don't use any brand or model, I use bits and pieces of various brands and models. And I don't refill my cartridges a certain number of times per day, I drip as needed. And I don't buy my refill liquids in any particular size bottles, I buy them in 30ml, 15ml, 10ml, 6ml, and 3ml bottles, depending on what I'm buying and whom I'm buying it from.

My responses are going to seem very bizarre to whomever is tallying the results.

If anyone is in contact with those who designed that survey, perhaps it would help them to understand that many people who use electronic cigarettes do not buy one "brand" of electronic cigarette and use it exclusively, and that many people drip instead of "refilling" cartridges.

Just a thought...

Yes, it does appear that they are not very knowledgeable about e-cigs. I just answered the questions the best that I could. I chuckled though, when they wanted to know how many puffs a day do I take on an e-cig. I don't count them, I have no idea how many puffs I take, so I put down 100, that's good enough.

I think it's probably too late to change anything. I would leave comments to that affect on the survey, so they understand what they are missing about a segment of the ecig population. (That's what I did.)

The majority of ecig users aren't even online and just stick with the basic ecigs they bought at a kiosk or from a radio ad, though. We at ECF are the exception with our mods and dripping, not the rule.

Yeah, most of us probably have a better idea of how much liquid we go through vs. "puffs." And if you know how much your prefilled cart holds, you can get a pretty good idea from that, as well. (If you use prefilleds.)

Another good reason the CASAA survey was written by vapers! Hopefully it can compliment the university survey.

Folks, this question on the CASAA survey:

How did you buy your first electronic cigarette?

wants to know how you PURCHASED it, not how you heard about them. People are choosing "Other" and writing in stuff like, "I saw a friend selling them, but bought from online."

That means you should have chosen "From a company advertising on the internet" or "From a company advertising on an internet forum" NOT "Other"

Please don't overthink the questions!

Also, this question: "What is most similar to the MAIN reason you tried electronic cigarettes?"

There are people saying other and then "to quit using tobacco - kind of have my cake & eat it too"

That would be #1. To continue to have a "smoking" experience, but with reduced health risks.

The question asks what is MOST SIMILAR. Don't choose "Other" unless there is nothing even close to your reason, please!

I chose other and I stand behind it. I was introduced to it as a requirement of my job. I didn't see anything that even comes close to that..

Well, DUH. I obviously wasn't talking about you, then, lol! ;)

But people are choosing "Other" and then saying "TO LIVE WITH LESS HASSARD (sic)" when that is an option listed above!

Kirsten,I am still unable to complete and send this survey. It STOPS after 67 per cent of the questions are answered and I am unable to continue. What is the problem? I did not type in my name--it states that is unnecessary. What do I do?
OK, I think I found your survey.

For this question, you only have one filled out: "1. How frequent is your use of the products below?"

You need to check an answer for EACH and ALL of those, even if they are all "Never."
