Just got two new kits for my girlfriend and mother. I plugged in one of the batteries to charge it for my girlfriend. Battery started smoking and damn near caught on fire. Thought it was just a bad battery, so I sent off an email to Vapor4Life.

Started getting paranoid so I tested the second battery, crap it must be a faulty charger!

Terrific, one ruined kit. So now I become even more paranoid and test the second kit's charger and batteries, it does the same thing. So I have no idea if they got a bad batch of chargers, or batteries but both kits are now worthless. :(

And I feel crappy because now they are both going to be disappointed. :(

We will definitely help you out with that. Have you sent an email to customer_service@vapor4life.com. That sounds pretty unusual, let us know which kind of battery, and which kind of charger you were using. But rest assured, we will definitely help you out with that.

Thanks for the quick reply. We ordered two of the Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic Kit's. They each ordered a pink and silver battery. I got the kits this morning and was just making sure everything was there, since they both was looking forward to them.

I tried one of the batteries and nothing, so I thought well maybe they don't come precharged like my VaporNine kit did. So I pulled the AC adapter out plugged it in and placed in the battery and poof it started pouring smoke out the tip and turned bright red.

So I thought I must of gotten a bad battery. I sent of an email explaining that to support. Then I started worrying so I tested the other battery and it did the same thing. So now I assumed it was the charger in the kit.

So I packed that kit back up and got the second kit, I pulled out it's AC adapter and tried another outlet just to make sure. Same result... so now I don't know if it was bad batteries or bad chargers. Both of these outlets I use with my chargers and have been for awhile now, so I know they are fine. :(

I just feel really bad about the whole situation, since they was both looking forward so much to using these kits. I sent off a second mail to support explaining the bigger problem now, but nothing back yet.http://store.vapor4life.com/Ultimate_Ultimatum_Automatic_E_Cig_Kit_p/vk-1000-pcc.htm

They will definitely get that taken care of for you. The batteries should all be pre-charged, and I've not heard of a charger doing that.

PCC you mean the portable charging case? I didn't even get a chance to use those, I was using the AC Adapter for the wall outlet. Plug it in, looked fine screwed in the battery and poof.

As I said I thought it was the battery but then did it to the other one, so then I tried the other kits AC adapter and batteries and same result.

Wonder if the PCC and AC adapters are made by the same manufacturer, starting to think that was the cause. Maybe they have voltage issues?

They was the standard length auto batteries that came with the deluxe auto kit. The crappy thing is they have been unplugged for over 30 minutes now and they are still very hot and smell like fried electronics.

Started to think the chargers sent to much voltage and just fried them. Would suggest anyone who buys a kit recently to maybe stick with the USB chargers.

Got a quick reply from first email, but nothing back after sending second. :(

We've been testing a bunch of wall chargers since I read this, and we are not having any issues at all. This is the first time that I have heard anything like this on the wall chargers.

Well I'll be happy to send back these, and you can see for yourselves. I really don't know what the issue is. I was guessing the chargers because it seems more probable then 4 bad batteries.

The chargers themselves didn't get hot and the LED's on them light up. All 4 of the batteries are still hot in the same location (right about the LED tip) it's been almost an hour now and they are still all very warm.

Like I said I tried two outlets, and they are outlets I use with my other chargers with no problems.

Just so you know it's the Product Code: VK-CHARGER "Vapor King Wall Charger" that came with both the kits.

Before you ship them, I suggest making them safe.

Prepare a 5 gallon bucket of salt water outside the house. 1/2 Cup Salt per gallon of water. Drop the battery(ies) into the salt water and let them sit for a couple weeks. Covering the bucket to prevent evaporation would be advisable.

Remove the now absolutely dead batteries from the salt water, dry them off with some paper towels, and then ship them normally.

If those cells haven't vented after being exposed to that kind of heat, I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to send 'em through the mail without making them safe first.

Well not going to do anything to them unless they ask me too, but don't really want to wait two weeks to get this resolved.

My girlfriend is up and ...... now, Can't blame her she spent nearly $200 on these kits and they are worthless now and she's mad because she planned on quitting this week now she has to go buy 2 carton's.

Who said you'd have to wait two weeks. We will have replacements shipped out tomorrow. We will ask you to at least send the chargers back to us, as like I said, we have never had wall chargers do anything like that.
