Two similar sounding websites

Hello All,

I need to order a few items and found some good prices at ecig website, however, there is also another website e-cig. Now going through the forums here and also reviews elsewhere, i have heard some nightmare stories not just about order issues but illegal activity like credit card numbers being charged without authorization and these people say the website was ecig. Now they don't differentiate between the two always so I am a bit concerned.

Another thread gave a link to yelp which gives the ecig (one without the hyphen) good reviews. And others said the one without hyphen is based in Austin, TX and say they had good experiences, but like I said, others just say Ecig website without saying which site it is. I I still want to make sure.

Your thoughts and experiences would be much appreciated... Thank you so much..

After the CC problems with MFS, last year, I make all online purchases with a Google Wallet card, or a pre-paid CC.
I have ordered from:
E-Cigarettes, Vaporizers and Starter Kits from ecig.com - ecig.com | Electronic Cigarettes
a couple times, with no issues.
Thank you so much puffon for the info. Can you please explain the MFS issue a little. I ask because I ordered 4 things on My freedom smokes websites. But today I got an email saying my money was refunded and when I checked my order status, it was "closed." Thats the only reason I am looking at other sites. And there was no explanation as to why my order was closed. I just figured they had run out of one of the items I ordered.

I checked my debit card, but the money has not been put back yet, although, I got the refund email and my order was "closed" about six hours ago.

Should I be worried about them not putting the money back into my account? I just figured it takes a day or two for it to go back into my account.

Thanks much for your help....

They had a CC info breech last March (not unusual these days)
I would send them an e-mail.
They are reputable. It may not show up in your bank, till the next day.

Thank you Puffon, your post had me really worried for a sec...lol. After reading your post, I immediately thought it was some issue with the store, MFS, itself doing something wrong. I have made a previous purchase from them without any issue, but this time, it was a much higher amount.

And they did send me an auto email stating a refund, it was just weird that i didn't get any explanation, just said order status, "closed."

But thanks again, I will send them an email.

I use MFS quite often. Excellent service and fast shipping.
CC issues are with Processing companies, not the actual Vendors and it is system hacks, not the companies themselves.

When in doubt, use a re-loadable card.

I use a PP MC Debit Card and receive instant alerts for all transactions on the card.

    Thank you crxess,

I am still just curious why my order was changed to "closed." I checked my debit card and I had about 6 to 7 times the amount so definitly wasn't a cc decline issue. Only thing I can think of is that they didn't have one of the items I ordered in stock so they "closed" the entire order without processing any... though all the items I ordered were listed as in stock at the time...

But you all are on to something about payment concerns, I will maybe start using a PP card just to be safe.

    Thank you

Sorry to just be getting back.
Actually, you need to Ask. There is the possibility your Card processor Stopped the transaction for <Cardholder Agreement Violation> Big BS clause sometimes used to not Process interstate Tobacco sales..... even though MFS does not sell tobacco products.
Yea, there are a few card companies and Banks that can be a pain in the tail over specific types of purchases.
MFS does not, as far as I know, close an order for a back ordered or not in stock item. They would likely email you with details on your order and offer a solution.

Contact them so you can plan another means of getting the things you need and avoid repeats of this situation.

Thank you crxess, I will call my bank.. but I have purchased from them previously without an issue and this time I heard the charge on my transaction history when I called my banks automated service. It just happens that MFS then sent me a "refund email"

when I looked MFS today, the vtc4 batteries I had as part of that order are no longer even listed in the website making me think they didn't have that item or ran out and cancelled my entire order instead of just sending 3 out of 4 items.

Lol, I was just so excited about getting a new mod and the griffin rda which got such great reviews...I'll just have to wait.. I am looking at other websites now to find a good deal on the rx200 and griffin...

You probably won't see your bank account adjusted till things hard post Monday night...and see it Tuesday morning.

And...make that Tuesday night this week - Monday is President's Day and banks will be closed.

So...you should see it Wednesday morning :)
