Hello matrtcal - fellow NYer here. I haven't had the time to go out to Jamaica, good to hear that they are nice out there. I personally didn't like any of the tobaccos I found, and never smoked menthol. However, I am finding that I like the mint/menthol vapes. It might be worth a sample try. Good Luck, and don't give up on juices - I just ordered a bunch too - with a set of much wider choices this time around. ECF is full of these good people offering advice!

Hey- throw the tank out the window! I've bought multiple and had issues w/ all of them. I recommend the 510 SMOKTech Dual Coil Mega Cartomizers (at 1.5 ohm on my Silver Bullet). The great reviewer pbusardo has a review (titled "Boge 510 LR Carto Vs. SmokTech 510 LR Dual Coil Mega") as well as a tutorial (under the title "Filling Boge 510 Cartomizers") on his site, tasteyour juice.com.

Best part: the Smoktech carts are available at myvaporstore.com. (I live in NYC, too.)

Juices are so "so-so" for everyone. It's hard to find one you like or will give you what you want to taste. Beyond the juice, throat hit from vaping is something that'll never match a real cig... at least this is how it's been for me. I accepted that and moved on to pure vaping enjoyment!

One juice vendor that may help is TastyVapor. They mix all their own juices by hand (no machines). You can customize your juice flavors, PG/VG/Nic content, and whether or not the juice gets sweetened. Contact them, give them a call or email, and discuss what you're looking for. They'll be glad to help. They even have a dedicated forum here on ECF. They make great juices as far as I'm concerned with their Caramel Popcorn being my favorite. Hmmm, their Waffles are good too! Check them out! They even sell small samplers in a lot of different flavors. Good luck, and don't give up!

My personal favorite is 1/2 clove and 1/2 orange/pineapple - TASTY! One thing about vaping is that we can play around with all sorts of flavors, bases, nic levels to suit our own tastes. It's not like analogs, where a person has to choose one over the other; and, accept it the way it's sold. There's no "rule" against mixing juices together; and, if it's not quite "right," we can tweak the mix to better suit ourselves... (Although, it IS best to start off mixing small batches until you find what you like. It's easier to fix them if they're small.) I'm not even talking about DIY'ing (per se) - I do it with off the shelf or on-line ordered juices. All it really takes is one spare bottle, to start. You can just count the number of drops of each that you put in there; then, set it aside for a few days. I generally let mine set for about a week before I make any drastic changes; since, I've had it take that long for everything to really blend together, even with occasional shaking.

I've scanned the whole thread and didn't see this mentioned, so if it already has been, sorry! STEEP your juices!! Most times when you order juice, it gets made right then...or at least from the companies I've ordered from. Some juices (especially Tobacco Blends) can take about 2 weeks of steeping before the flavors tend to mellow out and come together for great tasting juice. I ordered a bunch of Tobacco blends 2 weeks ago and didn't care for any of them. They all tasted like Caramel and something else. Anyhow..after 2 weeks of steeping, I love them all but one.

To steep, put you juices in a cool dark place, like a cabinet, take the lids off and leave them. Go back once or twice a day and shake them really well. Some juices will only take a few days to a week. So all those flavors you've bought and don't like, don't throw them out! Go back to them after a week or so and try them again.

Good luck!
