I started out at 19 with Honda 50 then 90 to 125 to 250. Rode a Yamaha from California to Olympics in Quebec but didn't like that bike much.

Last bike was Honda Rebel 450. All my friends at the time had Harleys and would "let" me ride with them since they said it was the closest thing to a Harley. I always let them start their bikes first because I knew mine would start. lol

I love bikes and it is the absolute best way to see the world.

Best ride was in Australia.

Fell off a ladder in '95 and shattered my leg and haven't ridden since. I miss it and yet something tells me to be very happy with all the places and years and miles I have ridden and to be content with convertibles and open windows - for now. :-x

Oh yeah, my mom was the first woman to go up Pikes Peak solo on a motorcycle - 1936 Indian. She also worked her way thru college with the Hell Drivers. She was billed as the "Campus Coed" and went thru walls of fire. No helmets like today but she had a purple leather outfit and a fitted matching leather aviators-looking helmet.

I ride everyday it's not snowing........that's pretty much everyday here.
snow? snow???

I've been riding for years.

I've got a 2002 Road Star and a 2008 Venture. We pull a trailer behind the venture to rallies and do the weekend camping parties.

I'm SO looking forward to being able to ride and vape, and not wish for a red light or pit stop to light a smoke....
yamaha's are good bikes, almost bullet proof. been riding/vaping since i started ;) it is very nice.

sorry about your leg, any thoughts about a trike? i've ridden the spyder, and while its not 2 wheels, its still loads of fun.

very cool about your mom :D

How is the spyder on cornering? I have looked enviously at trikes for years.
Nothing compares to that wind on your body, the feel of the road beneath you, and that fabulous moment when you feel you are approaching a stream or river (hopefully with some kind of intact bridge involved unless you are off-road... lol )

I actually have a newspaper clipping of mom on her Indian advertising the show.

you should post that pic, love to see it.

the spyder corner ok, for a trike, but there's no real leaning. i tend to ride pretty aggressive and while it was fun, it wasn't for me. there is a trike out there (don't remember the make) that you counter-steer and lean with. if i couldn't hold up the bike anymore, i'd most likely go with either the spyder or an exile trike.

simi valley, ca
so you're making a valk out of it?
pretty much. this is going to be a work of love, not a PITA.. I love working on stuff, and this one is in excellent mechanical condition once I get the 15 years of grime off it. it's my current major project. I got rid of the jeep, so I hafta have something I can wrench on without working on my daily ride.

1996 Dyna Lowrider. Sadly this is the one we were on when we were hit in the side so it's no longer with us

My first ride after our wreck was on a Rigid, not sure of the year

This is our current ride the day we bought it

And this is it after a little modification was done to it

It still needs some work and now that the weather is warming up we can finally finish it.
