UFS Availability

First off, "Hi". After considerable research, I ordered the ST today. Can't wait .

One of the compelling reasons was the UFS and/or Odysseys. While I've search high and low, I can't tell if Odysseys supplants the UFS, or augments. Would seem the later, as there is a video showing Odysseys being used with a UFS.

If the above is true, will there future UFS production runs? (I assume the shop is fully tooled for Odysseys ATM).

Basically trying to determine if I should just wait for COV to get some, get one internationally, or keep an eye out in the classifieds?

There's one in the classifieds right now, lawnman I think is the seller. Not a bad price, you'd pay the same getting one internationally, anyway. I would have snagged it if I didn't already have one en route to me from overseas ;-)

Odysseys is going to be up for sale later on. It can be used inside the UFS as a repairable atomizer. It also can be used by itself with regular cartos or attys. I really wish it doesn't take over the future production of the UFS because I love both of my UFS's. They are so simple and give such a flavorful vape.

Yah, saw that one. Postal Money order made it a non-starter, given they seem to put up there frequently. That, and I'm hoping to hear a definitive answer that UFS was EOL before going used.

I've I see the right used buy, I'll probably jump on it anyway, since the GG stuff seems to hold good value.

The way I see it, odysseus is like ufs and iatty combined. It can be used in either way, depending on how its assembled. So it may be pointless to make more of either the iatty or the ufs. But if you did buy a ufs now, you could buy odysseus components later that would work fine inside your ufs... Unless I'm wrong

Thus the question. Is it EOL, or will there be additional US inventory?

My preference is to buy from COV. My experience with them is limited but good, and reading here, it seems Bruce is the kind of vendor that I want to deal with. But Bruce can't sell me what Bruce doesn't have. At some point consumerism kicks in.

It is looking like the UFS will not be made again Imeo verified this in another post although for some reason I can't find it ATM that being said I believe the Odysseus will be replacing it.

Every video i've watched and post I've read, Imeo seems to be on the quest for the perfect vape, and has the engineering skills to do it. If he believes that Odysseys is a worthy replacement for UFS v2, I've no reason to argue it..

The only reason I would be upset with no more UFS production is if something breaks or I flick something up and need replacement parts. I can see a time when I might have to move to something else if replacement parts eventually aren't available. It's how the world works though. If I could go back and have my workd all be apple for ever I would buy that ticket. It just isn't feasible to expect that things won't change and get better. For now I will carry my UFS in a bomb proof case

Given that he said in the linked post he didn't think he would be making anymore UFS runs I think it would be prudent to plan like it won't happen. While I agree the UFS is a great device given the Oddeysseus's flexability I somewhat understand why he feels there is no need for both. If you want to use only store bought attys you buy Oddy in that config if you want to use only rebuildable coils buy that config. And if you want both you spend a little more and get the fully Oddy package.

That all being said I have to admit part of me will be sad if another UFS run isn't made.

UFS will not be produced any more guys. Odysseus is the future of everything when we talk about atomizers. It can do everything and in a better way for sure

As sad as I am that the UFS is officially discontinued, I am just as excited that the Odysseus is headed to us soon!

That is the way Imeo works and why we are always at the top of the ladder on the newest developments. Old friends may not be produced but Imeo always has a newer friend in production for us.

And realistically, if you think on it, I had rather be a part of the constant evolution of the PV with Imeo than having what is great today only and old news next month!

My brand new UFSv2 hasn't arrived yet and is already discontinued. It is now a collector's item. A precious thing, I'm glad but I'll vape the hell out of it

This is a good point.. I love how the UFS is made for a GG... I would want that from the Ody too (or at least for it to be possible -- so you can have a regular 510 for another mod or a bottom piece made just for the GGTS)

Imeo has mentioned making an AVS style connection that will utilize the threads on the ID of the upper portion of the Collection tank. IMHO this will make for a very secure leak free connection and allow us to use the air control to it's fullest capability without the need for any kind of adapters.

+1 glad to see another vaper from Atlanta I just picked up the avs and may just pick up a ufs until the Odysseus comes out
