Now that looks promising.
Alas the person who suggested it in another thread was responding to someone who said their 510 threads were ruined, so I assumed this adapter fit on the eGo cone threads. The original person posted back to me that no, this fits in the 510 threads! D'oh! So it's a 510-to-510 connector. Why make such a thing, you might ask? (and me too) Answer: Because the Vamo V2 was made with a narrow well that did not take devices like the T3 tank without an adapter. Er, like this one.
So bottom line is, if that's true and this adapter does not fit on the eGo cone threads, it is not a solution for people with ruined 510 threads.
Anecdotally my pyrex Aro tank base uses the eGo cone threads on my Vamo, and my PT2 will screw directly into that Aro base (long as you don't have the Aro head in there of course)

.... only problem is, the pin on the PT2 head does not sit low enough in the Aro base to make contact with the Vamo pin.
It is certainly possible to lift the Vamo pin with a dental tool or the like, above the top of the head (it will still be connected by a white wire... there is plenty of wire for this as I pulled mine up this far after tanking it apart to make sure there was enough wire)... then you can slip a very thick grommet under it so it sits high in the head, like at the top of the head, thereby making the native 510 threads useless as they will sit beneath the pin... but if they are already useless anyway, who cares, right?...)
Anywho... an Aro base on the eGo cone threads, coupled with a mod to the Vamo pin might very well be used as an Ego-cone - 510 adapter. But take note I did not actually try this as my 510 threads are fine. I only lifted the Vamp pin up to put a new silicone grommet under it to get rid of the rubber one. But I cut my grommet down to size so it would fit in the normal place at the base of the 510 threads.
In case it is of interest to anyone, I cut down a silicone carto mouthpiece to do this, to avoid it adding any flavor to my vape. In the context of this thread I mention it b/c the carto mouthpiece is quite deep and I had to shave it nearly flat, but if left in its original form factor, just the circumference trimmed down, it might get the Vamo pin up where it needs to be. If not, a washer of the kind I mention here
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vamo/493321-v3-pin-rubber-grommet-replacement-mod.html, under the carto mod, would more than likely do the trick.
Downside: An Aro tank is $7.99 to get the base.
Upside: You can also use the Aro tank with the Aro base afterwards, as it's a great little pyrex tank! (When my PT2 has a bipolar episode, the Aro is always there to work flawlessly. Plus Aro heads fit in the PT2 and deliver more flavor than Kanger heads. K heads do not fit in the Aro, FTR. But Aro and T3 heads are interchangeable from what I understand.)
All in all.... probably a better idea to get a new V2 top if you don't mind soldering connections. If you do mind... then using some kind of base from an eGo cone threaded tank is probably your best avenue. And maybe there's a better one than the Aro. It's the only one I have, so.... beyond that potential contribution, I got nuthin'.

But my PT2 did thread perfectly into the Aro base!
