Right, I'm confused.
I tried vaping a few months ago but it never quite hit the spot of real cigs. I bought an Intellicig Evo, but to be honest, I've hardly used the thing because I still wanted to smoke even after vaping with it! I came to try it again this weekend to see what's what and now the attys gone and that's just annoyed me because I've hardly used it, but it IS a year old so maybe I'm expecting too much out of it. They seem expensive to replace if it's something that needs doing regularly (and I gather it does need replacing quite frequently) so am looking into alternatives to see if there's a better device out there that I can replace the cigs with.

Ideally I want an e-cig that I can buy in the UK, but will look to the US if I have to. I used to smoke Marlboro Mediums, then I quit for a while, that didn't last so now I smoke roll-ups (Golden Virginia and Licquorice papers). I really want to quit these, but I love smoking so want to replace it with vaping if I can only find an e-cig that's easy to use, not too expensive for spares etc, and gives the same (or almost) satisfaction as having a real cig.

A colleague of mine has a GreenSmoke that he's just acquired and although I haven't had a go with it, I have been impressed with the amount of vapour it provides and I like the idea of the cartomiser - one less thing to worry about if you change the atomiser every time you change the cartridge. I hate the fact that Intellicig's atty's cost £8 plus each, when they appear to not last all that long.

Reading up suggest there's a better option to the GreenSmoke - the V4L VaporKing, but that doesn't appear to be available in the UK? Or is it? Or at least the same model under a different disguise? I gather it's a KR808 or something. Can we get one of those here?

Another alternative I'm looking at is sticking with the 3 piece as I have a couple of bottles of juice that I'd hate to waste. I gather you can't refill the GS easily. I want an e-cig that looks like a real cig, so I think the Tornado and Screwdriver are out for me, so which should I look at and who's web sites should I be going to? I'm really confused about different suppliers seemingly offering the same e-cig under different names? For example, I think the e-cig.co.uk Zenith is the same as the TECC Titan and the TW Titan, right? Is this the famous 510 I see recommended all over this forum?

Are all 3 piece attys unreliable (some work some don't) and only last a couple of weeks before needing replacing?

Sorry if this info is elsewhere somewhere, I couldn't find it easily and I've tried.

Cheers

Pretty much any of the above will improve your vaping experience :D I have 3 intellicig EVOs and need to vape all 3 at once to get a good enough hit, they are quite weak but useful for the occasional vaper :)

Here are some KR808d type PVs available in the uk that I found Creator
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Mini (KR808D-1 Cartomizer)
You can indeed top them up and there is plenty of details around here how to do it :)

As for the Greencig, I am not sure which model that is maybe someone can pop in here and help??

I personally vape the penstyle, has a nice smooth vapour and great throat hit but is bigger than cigarette!

Thanks Guys,
I found Liberty Flights this morning but they don't appear to currently have any stock of anything! Also found iVapourElixir and the Creator, had never heard of it, so it's nice that someone is pointing me in that direction. Also found misteliquid.co.uk - has anyone used these (I will do a search!)?

So, as it seems the KR808D-1 is actually available in the UK, I guess I now have to make a decision between that and the 510! ;-)

Guess I'll be reading reviews all day. :)

Thanks again :)

Rusty - how long do you get out of a 510 atomiser? (I realise it's going to depend on usage)

My wife uses the 510 atty and to be honest she hasn't had one die on her yet this year! She is only an evening vaper though. I use the RN4075 and have generally got 4-8 weeks out of each one.

Remember that an atty costs around the same as a packet of turds (cigs), so if mine lasted a day, I would still be in pocket!!

All the best

510 atties do die, and quite frequently. If you get 5 - 6 weeks out one you are doing well. Some suppliers are better than others IMHO TECC for atties ( well over the last 3 months)

Since january
I have had 3 from TW that were pretty poor, 4 from LF and one from TECC (purchaced at the end of Feb) the TECC one is still going strong. The others are long gone.
I bought another from TW last week as I was ordering some DV liquid (good price) so far its working ok. Mabee they had a bad batch at the start of the year.

I think you should look at Attys as sort life term items, like a packet of fags, they do burn away.
Having said that, so far, in the two months + i have been vaping, the only Atty i have had, that has failed, is a low LR one, which lasted 1 week. However we were warned that these LR would have a shorter life.

I am a very heavy user of my PV. Up 18 hours a day and chain vaping none stop. So IMHO, Atties are pretty good value compared to a packet of fags.

Attys are very variable. The penstyle atty in my Jantystick has been with me for many months and shows no sign of dying, but I had others burn out in a week. Always have a spare or two to hand.

As for performance, I need a stronger battery so I use the Jantystick (box mod-type) or electronic cigar which both take 10430 rechargable batteries. Obtaining replacement attys for the cigar is getting more difficult. Since they cost around 15 quid, it's a real bummer if they burn out (good ones last 6 weeks-2 months).
