UK postal strike

hi. there appears to be ongoing labor issues concerning the postal service in england. i ordered some supplies last week and was wondering if anyone else had done the same here in the us, and what the status of their order might be. or if anyone reading this thread knows how the ongoing dispute continues to effect mail going out of the country. would really appreciate it.

I ordered some sheridans liquer from tipsygifts.com and he was telling me about the strike. that sux i hope everything goes well so i get my damn package

You will get your packages if you can order in line with the strikes. The strikes this week are on Fri 6 and Mon 9, so if you ordered yesterday (Tues), and it was shipped today (Weds), there would be a good chance that your order is out of the UK before Friday's strike action starts
If you ordered on Thurs, there would be a chance of it being delayed in the backlog. You would get it but you might have to wait for an extra week. I would recommend to place orders on Monday night (9th) to be shipped next Tues 10th, then it will simply go as normal and not get caught up in the 'black hole'

if you are unlucky it might add a day to US arrivals.. its no real problem... your problem is the USPS black hole... we think its currently running around ten days after NY arrival.. it seems to improve in the summer and get worse in the winter..

I was just gonna "post" this myself...I'm made up, got a big score of "Eco Pure Rich" inbound...

Edit: They have dismissed any more industrial action until next year...I'm pleased about this as well, because I support the hard working posties, but the strikes are frustrating when you are waiting for stuff.
