I just use amazon. I got a 100 dollar ultra sonic for 30. They are great. I run a couple of cycles with white vinegar and then empty it and a couple of cycles of distilled water. They then fire like new. As anyone found a better method?

I use Vodka every time. Maybe I'll try vinegar. Have you tried Vodka? Any difference?

I used the cheapest vodka at the liquor store. Still was alot of money and did not clean them as well. Does the quality of the vodka matter? Afraid that the vodka will start a fire. Anyways vinegar and then distilled water works great.

Maybe I did something wrong, but I bought a 42k hz from amazon. This one to be specific.

Amazon.com: Ultrasonic Cleaner Model D3800A: Electronics

And I tried both vodka and distilled water on a few of my ego-t atty's and after that they seemed like they had no power whatsoever. The draw was weak, and tasted like... water
The vodka one tasted like vodka for half a tank and never vaped right, and the water one tasted weak and never vaped right either.

Maybe my ultrasonic cleaner is a dud?

Has anyone found a solution that will get the gunk off Ce2 coils?
best ce2 cleaning solution for me is a vodka soak/swirl in an erlenmeyer flask, followed by a dry burn and/or blow with the aircan.

Also, is my ultrasonic not working if I don't see bubbles? I see waves. I got the Trent CD-3800.
the ultrasonic is supposed to work by creating 'cavitation bubbles'. picture those little Dow scrubbers from their tv ads years ago. but usually you need a cleaning solution and the right frequency for these things to work. my gemoro works well with water, even a small subcontainer of vodka, but i think it wears too hard on the wicks. so i stick with vodka for the ce2 and use the ultrasonic to clean other things.

Thanks for this Much. I have just read it a year later after your post. Could you please advise what ultrasonic cleaner is available in the UK? I live in a very rural community, been vaping for 4 months and converted several older people, the eldest being 87 to start vaping. I need to learn quickly about cleaning atomisers so I can support these people with cleaning and would really appreciate your expertise as to which ultrasonic cleaner I could use to clean all of our atomisers.

Hope you can help

TIA
Alix

PS Or anyone else that sees this post... any advise or support you could give me would be really appreciated. Thanks :)

Thanks! Great thread- Just ordered a Sonic Wave CD-2800 from Amazon (free 2-day super shipping!) for $27.88. Btw, the Bogue CD-2800 is the exact same model (confirmed by description and pictures), if anyone was wondering. Both clean at 42khz and have auto cut-off at 3 minutes.

I'm the Atty Killer- can't wait to try this out!!!

I used alcohol a couple of times, but had a really hard time getting the residual taste out of the atomizer, so now I am going to cheap vodka and the jewelry cleaner method also - they are supposed to deliver mine on Thursday.
Try vinegar then distilled water in the ultra sonic. It works wonders.

Ok- here's an update on this Sonic Wave cleaner - got mine two days ago (just like Amazon promised) and broke out the vodka bottle for a cleaning party. This seems to work wonders on my new Ego "C" version atomizers - came out nice, let them dry overnight and they are firing right up. Note - I also cleaned a whole bunch of my "A" and "B" type atomizers with some strange results. First of all, if you have different colored atomizers to start off with - they will all end up being stainless steel when you are done - not sure if it was the Vodka, the cleaning technique or both - but it stripped off all the gold, silver and / or black color on the outside of the atomizers. Just be prepared.

Picked this one up at a thrift store for $3. Hope it works for me. If not oh well the price was worth the risk.
