To be fair..I had zero skills in my former part time job. I wanted certain days/times off and I vaped in my office and wasn't suppose to. I kind of created a position for myself that they no longer really need.

But I'm miffed cuz I found the larger office space and I'm the VOODOO Mistress after all. You'd think they'd figure out something for me to do like be social chairman, party planner, office greeter, or something!

every office needs that one crazy gurl that's all "oh no she di-int!" and "MMmmmMMM-HHHmmmmMMM!"

They'll only be gone 2 hours 4 days a week. .......

I've been dreaming of this since I quit work two years ago

Seriously? That is just enough time to drive them there get home turn around go back and get them. That will waste your vaping money.

Pretty much. The bus will take them one way or the other depending whether it's morning or afternoon. I think the crazy part is they get fed a lunch and a snack in that 2-2.5 hour time frame, and for both kids to go it's gonna be $250 a month unless I can get them into the head start program. Our income is normally too high but if they don't have enough kids they will take some over income kids

Afternoon all! Been busy today calling around to get the kids enrolled in preschool. What a pain in the. .....

I don't know if OH has a similar set-up, but NC has a state run website that shows all of the licensed preschools and daycares. It has all of the sanitation ratings and actions/complaints and violations against the school. After I checked that it took me less than three days to get my kid signed up somewhere. I knew there were only three places around here I would let the kid go.

It might relieve some of the headache. Plus, you'll be surprised how many schools were highly recomended to me that had serious violations. One of my friends kept talking about the great school his kid was in. They had three child abuse allegations in four years. One was found true by the state. Another school was found in violation for with holding food from children as punishment.

Make sure you read up on all of them if you can.

There's only like 3 to pick from here. Honestly stuff like that doesn't happen much around here, I know 2 of the 3 teachers and they're wonderful with the kids. My mom worked for head start for a long time and they have very strict hiring procedures. I just can't believe there's already waiting lists this early in the year

I usually take any reviews with a grain of salt too. The way some of these parents act if their kids get put in time out, you'd think the teacher locked them in a dungeon and starved them for years. People are crazy.....

On the state sight it lists the allegation made with the state and whether investigation found it to be true or not. I was shocked what was being found true in some schools. There was a school that was actually found to have lost multiple students. They were letting students leave with other kid's parents and not having them signed out.

My mind was blown. These were the places with waiting lists. The school I signed her in to had no violations and a perfect sanitation record. Yet, no lists. Things were different for me. I was looking for full time daycare while I went back to work. So, I was opening myself up to more potential for issues.

I'm glad you're comfortable with the people already. It makes things easier.

Gotta love kids. Also, solution to coffee thing is get a keurig. Hubby used to leave me with half a cup so I bought one, now he has the whole huge pot to himself for his thermos and I just make mine as needed

I always thought about getting a Keurig. They are pretty expensive aren't they? Do you know if they make those little cup things with Dunkin Doughnuts coffee?

there are Dunkin donuts K-cups, but you can only get them at Dunkin Donuts. they dont sell through any supplier. Green Mountain coffee owns Keurig so you get their entire selection of coffees, as well as about 10 other brands. all-in-all, about 400+ different varieties.

also, you can get your own coffee, and a re-usable k-cup if you have a local supplier you really like.

Keurig. Keurig, Keurig ... Can't say it enough and worth every penny. And for some reason, Kohls will have one or another of them on special at the same time they have the 30% card holder coupon out. I have very few credit cards but Kohls is one of them. (I got a $170 electric shaver yesterday for $60 but I digress.)

I saved my Kohls cash, used the 30% off and got the "big boy" Keurig all toll for about $90. Really, did I say I LOVE mine? I use the adapter cup for my Dunkin Donuts (also my favorite) coffee when I haven't been to DD to get the K-cups. Does piss me off that you cant get DD K-cups anywhere but DD however.

Oh sorry ... HELLO ERRBODY!
