I used to have stronger feelings about this, but I just don't anymore.

Esp. when I "revisit" my own adolescence and some of the behaviors common to that age range.

My preference is that they use 0 nic, just because life is best when experienced w/out addictions/dependencies, etc. of any kind IMHO, (having eyes that see, ears that hear, body that works, mobility and the wonderment of our beautiful mother earth is more than enough)...... but I only say that in retrospect, being an old person now.

When I get the chance I've said I wish ecigs had been around when I was a kid. School principals should decide what kids can bring into to the building, parents should decide if their kids can posess an ecig, and nobody should ever give anything to any kid if their parents might object. Don't we sort of know all this already?

Like others mentioned, I would rather see juvs vape then smoke, so I totally believe that vaping is much safer the cigs, but there still has to be an age limit no different then smoking. What blows me away in all these posts is that everyone seems to think that nic in the vape is all that matters. It seems as if most believe that as long as someone is vaping zero nic, then vaping is totally ok and all is fine. Regardless of nic, we are breathing in chemicals into our lungs and a lot do this in very large quantities.

Kids are going to do what's considered cool and rebellious. I smoked in the 9th grade after lunch on the football field with my friends just because we thought it was cool. When we got to senior high there was a smoking area where it was OK to smoke.

But, that was during a period of time before the Surgeon General revealed the proven dangers. Most adults were smoking and the ads on TV made you think it was cool. Actors in movies were still smoking.

I kind of think that nic does matter more than the other chemicals, if it comes to addiction. Etc. Although I'm sure the other chemicals are bad, I'm pretty certain nicotine isn't great..

I'm just not gonna get all excited about kids vaping flavors (also, they don't they petty much go for as much nic as possible.) They are in it for the effect.

But as you have seen, I can barely get excited about that. I just go, "Whatever. We are all going to die, some sooner than others and that is how it is."

For all I know I am going to live to age 90. It runs in my family. Old age, l mean. I have not had the lifestyle of a person who should live to 90.

We should devote more energy to starving children in Africa than we do in our efforts to "curb" our youth. I bet if we did they would settle down, too, because we were IGNORING them.

Every parent knows that almost every dumb decision a teen makes comes with a little hint of, "Censored to you, PARENT!" At least, the rational parents know it. LOL.

MADD... Not so much.

On top of all the other negative things being spread about vaping now we have "The Truth" making false claims that vaping makes you 4x more likely to start smoking analogs. When did Big Tobacco get to "The Truth"? All this talk of underage vaping and "save the children" again, OMG I'd far rather my kid was vaping. All the misinformation about nicotine, look guys it's in almost everything you eat, it's a background substance for God's sake. There's even studies at the CDC that have concluded nicotine isn't addictive, it's the other things Big Tobacco adds that's addictive.

Oh I almost forgot there's a new petition on change.org asking to have all vaping banned once again in the name of "save the children".

This all makes me glad I'm nearing the end time, this world is F****D UP. Everyone lies about everything it seems.

I totally thought vaping was doomed the moment I got my first Njoy setup and it had a card explaining how to explain the law and how you were allowed to "vape anywhere" and etc. I mean, it's good to have visibility and all that and I am sure that well, the days when everyone was vaping at their desks were cool and all.

But my very first thought was, "The world of vape is very naïve if they think they're going to pull this one off. The law is just NOT going to stand for that."

I do think vaping will continue to exist, but perhaps not in the way it is now. So, I'm trying to like, enjoy the now, and still remain morally outraged and everything. It's a tough balance.

The "Truth" ads have never once told the truth, to my knowledge. They're made by tobacco blood money and now that they are after vaping, they aren't going to be honest about that either. To the best of my knowledge, though, they are classified as adverts, not PSAs (which is why they are FUNDED by blood money not MADE by the government) so I don't think there is even any expectation of truth.

Although to be fair, many PSAs are just.... Weird. The fried egg and brain on drugs PSA springs to mind. Although, to be fair, it was not citing facts, it was using a really, really confused metaphor and etc.

Ban caffeinated hyper-sweetened sodee pop…I always say
I actually do agree. The government doesn't really go after the problems. They go after the things easily taxed. Did they ban cigarettes when it's proven to kill it's consumers? No, They just slapped a dollar per pack tax on it. What is that? Citizen Death Tax? Do they ban cars? Absolutely proven to kill and at least maim. Sugary caffeinated beverages? Slap a tax on it. All the vape controversy will end the day they can slap a dollar per bottle tax on it. Simple as that.

IDK there is the "take the kids to the forest" PSA but it's a radio PSA. It encourages parents to take their kids out to nature and that there is usually like, a state or national forest or even a playground nearer to them than they realize.

However, the PSA is all the kid's excited talk about "Will there be squirrels?" and "can I climb a tree?" etc. during the DRIVE to the forest, so I am not so dang sure.

I always hated it, a) because if parents have to be INSTRUCTED to let their kids outside to play, I despair. Also, like, um it was just terrible in general.

A lot of young people are taking it up these days around here. I always think that it's better they do that than hook onto crappy cigarettes, as an ex smoker like many here it doesn't take much remember how destructive 'smoking' is/was. So if it's a way of keeping the younger generations on a road away from smoking than I'm all for it. While it's stupid doing these things when you're young, you're going to do it. Thank god vaping exists though, I wish it did when I wanted to look cool back in high school. As for policing it, you can't - teens will always find a way around things.

It most certainly shouldn't be promoted towards them though.

Oh fine, as long as we can keep the good cigarettes (I'm thinking like Nat Shermans and above) and the good alcohol (too many to list but SOUTHERN COMFORT can go). I hated that stuff. I had a feeling it was aptly named though, as in, "Yeah, I could find this stuff comforting if I lived in Georgia or whatever." No offense to Georgia but really....

I used to smoke Marlboro Reds and Basics in college I had nowhere to go but up. Also drank my fair share of Southern Comfort but my roommate was from South Carolina, and she had the fake ID and like, I had to placate her once in a while....
