I'm on a major unflavored kick right now. Can't seem to get away from it, and when I am vaping flavored I actually tend to crave unflavored.

The taste of the nicotine is just amazing, at least Wizard Labs is (not tried any other nic vendors).

It pairs with anything pretty flawlessly. Yzer pointed out it goes well with IPA & other hoppy beer styles which is pretty hard to attain with flavors (even the NETs I've tried always got thrown off by the bitterness).

That and it reduces cleaning maintenance quite a bit. I can easily run multiple tanks through my AGA and the coil & wick stay nice and clean.

I started out trying unflavored because of being sick and throwing my taste off, but now its my heavily preferred ADV.

Any others out there?

I've never vaped unflavored, but I am intrigued. It would be a good experience for me to just taste the nicotine base, just to get a better idea of how the nicotine effects the overall profile of a juice. I can't see wanting to vape it often but who knows, that wasn't your initial plan either.

How would you describe the taste? I'm guessing a slight pepperiness, but is there any other notable flavor notes? Do you buy an unflavored mix at your nic level or do you buy a high nic base and dilute it with pg/vg? What pg/vg ratio are you vaping this at?

I basically used unflavoured when not using my NET tobacco. I use 50/50 pg/vg 60ml and add 3 drops of orange and 1 of clove. Or I will use the same pg/vg with a couple drops of peppermint and 1 of koolada. I just tried out adding 3 drops of pomegranate. I think of them like those flavoured waters. Its clean and refreshing and goes so well in between my strong tobaccos. I also keep these at about 6mg of nicotine.

I cant believe how long a coil lasts. I have one of my Odysseus going for over a week on the same coil with no cleaning. The same set up with my NET tobacco entails a soaking in hot water for 5-10 minutes and dry burning after one tank full ( 3mls)

I got a bit hooked on it when I accidently forgot to add flavoring to a DIY batch.

Although I don't 'get' pepper, I can understand when people say they taste pepper. To me, it's like a super-light cigarette but with more TH.

That's another reason for me to get a bottle of unflavored nic. When I vape a dark and dirty NET a way to extend the life before cleaning is to alternate with a clean NET. I have glycerine I could briefly vape but that just makes it feel like a chore.

I've been using 12mg premixed WLregular for a few weeks now and it's my favorite after several suppliers. Has some fullness to it, and it was available even when they were out of everything else.
I can't use anything peppery or even a slight smell because it stinks up my carto before they die normally.

After 2 yrs of this, I think I may start adding some Koolada or menthol in small amounts tho. Maybe something minty.

Like to try different brands of VG and Pg also, altho I've never been disappointed with what I've been given.

I used to run a Boge in a tank for a month, but now I like a fresh one sooner so I switch out every 10 days or so. Only a buck a carto.

    Have fun..........

--Have to add- it's funny that unflavored got me off of cigs when I hear people say they Have to find a great flavor or they can't quit. It's been the closest too cigs taste for me. I can taste a slight tobacco aftertaste usually.

Sometimes I add a couple drops of lemon flavoring and a drop or two of koolada. Makes it very refreshing.

Peppery is probably the best word I can relate it to but it's nothing like it in all honesty. Having a hard time putting a proper word to it.

I have found & a buddy agreed, the closest match to a cigarette I've found so far is the unflavored.

I'm rocking a 20mg 60vg/40pg at the moment. Think I may need to lower the nic as when I'm chain vaping it'll tweak my stomach a bit. Been mixing it myself with 60mg WL Nic (reg not the ice). Have been using pg & vg from them too though I'm going to have to open my gallon jugs from essential depot here pretty soon.

But I'm with you on understanding the flavor of the nic to help in getting a really well rounded flavored liquid. Im starting to think that real good liquids use it as part of the taste, whereas some just around ignoring of masking it.

I'm kind of curious the effects a tiny bit of white vinegar or lemon juice would have. I've seen them mentioned elsewhere and what to show the effects more clearly than an unflavored?

Hey Thompson, I was looking into trying this here and am curious, would you recommend the PG or VG? Mostly to complement beer is what I'm looking for. I haven't had any experience with 100% VG so not sure what to go for.

I'd probably either get a bottle that's premixed to the ratio you like or order up in the nic content and get a bottle of PG or VG to add to it. Then you have a nice ratio that's not too thick/not too thin.

100% VG can be thick. 100% PG can be thin.
