Does anyone else find that although gross and bad for you that cigarettes were more satisfying? I've been vaping two years and no cigs. But I am always pulling huge clouds trying to get that feeling. Also, the salt nic is way better but it doesn't come in 6 mg of nic always some crazy 35 or 40 mg. And does anyone know where I can buy straight nicotine salt?

I never thought I'd say it, but since I have quit smoking for nearly 7 years, I enjoy vaping more than I ever did smoking. And I loved smoking.

I've never used nic salts, so I can't help ya there. You might try over on the General E-Liquid Discussion
and find posts on nic salts. Or even ask your questions there.

Nope, smokes weren't more satisfying than vaping is to me. I was the last one of all my family members and my friends...that anyone thought would ever quit smoking. But I did it, and I've never even craved a smoke since then.

If the big clouds (and I assume probably sub-ohm DTL vaping) aren't doing it for you...maybe you need to try MTL vaping. Try it at lower watts with your 6mg nic eliquids, and drawing in the vapor slower and easier like many smoked their cigarettes.

You might want to try WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) eliquid, I vastly prefer vaping with some. Do a search and you will find jillions of threads.

Also, um, I am a pretend non vaper at work. Snus got me there (and out of a smoking relapse too) I can go about 13 hours is the most I have gone at work, not vaping. I actually make sure I use a couple pieces of snus on weekends, etc., because I have a feeling it is MUCH higher in alkaloids than even WTA liquids which are fairly dilute. My brain desperately needs those minor alkaloids.

Swedish snus has been around a while and is said to be even more harm reduction than vaping. Swedish snus is sold under the name American General snus (confusing, I know.) Many gas station sell it, there is a store locator for it, if you do a web search. My main complaint was I did not love the taste but since my brain rapidly associates pleasure/effect with taste I got over that rather fast. It will cost you four bucks or so depending on your state to try it and in my opinion you have nothing to lose (with either, but WTA is usually a LOT more expensive.)

I see no shame in vaping and I do when not at work as I enjoy it, but using some snus every now and then to help you. Or, WTA. Either or. For some folks nicotine is not enough and I am one of them.

I diy which may be an option for you. And I mostly use freebase nic but I have bought salts. I wish I could remember the site. But do check the diy forum - the sales thread will point you toward the more popular places to buy.

I’ve bought nic from just about all sites, and I haven’t had a bad one yet. Just compare prices and shipping costs and you’ll be okay.

You can get salt nic juice as low as 25 mg/ml - I just saw some on element vape - which might work for you also.

If your vaping away , feeling you just cant get that fix, then its probably just low nic juice. This does create issues for some because if they up their nic, it's too harsh, so they chain vape with lower nic amounts. Like you said, salts allow you to go higher, but it's just not the same as freebase imo. I love the intensity of high nic, 24mg, and it definitely gives that cig satisfaction and what I really like is no chain vaping...

The easy solution to that one is to buy a bottle of high nic and a bottle of zero and mix to taste. That or DIY of course.
Sounds easy - but not so much. I got "hit" nic salt from NicRiver. Tried it straight up at 25mg with my NET, whereas I usually use 14mg freebase. No TH. Thought I'd mix a batch for a pod, and go 14mg FB and 14mg NS, for a total of 28mg. Provides less TH than my 14mg, but different. You can tell the nic is there, and feel it - and it does hit your system faster. A lot faster. But it still doesn't give me the necessary TH. Seems like it actually somehow removes the TH from freebase, but I don't know how that's possible. I've now tried several different combinations, but the salts have the same effect on everything.

There's something about Juul & Asko's pods that I really like, but they're not quite there either. Thought I could do this in an atty by combining them, but the magic just isn't there. I might try another brand of salts, because I'd like to get the effect of some of the pods, with an atty that gives a bigger hit.

But Mike - if you'e using premixed juice, it's still worth a try to combine a salt juice with freebase to get a lower overall nic. Might take a few tries, but you might stumble on a good mix.

...
My friend was good with 18mg freebase in terms of TH, but wanted a little higher nic for cravings. So I made her a mix of salts/freebase treating the nic-salts as essentially a zero on the TH scale*. I made a 24mg juice by mixing three parts 24mg freebase and one part 24mg nic-salt -- worked out well, a 24mg liquid with a TH more like an 18mg freebase.

So, if I'm reading your example correctly, you might try mixing up some 25mg freebase, then combining say, 6ml of that with 4ml of your 25mg NS ... so you'll have 10ml of 25mg fb/ns liquid, but the TH should be closer to 15mg FB.

* based on when I first got some DIY 48mg nic salt and tried it straight up and got next to nothing in terms of TH (and what little throat sensation there was, wasn't like freebase TH, to me anyway).

You will never be satisfied using ultra low nicotine.
Also there seems to be some misconceptions about what the differences are in types of nicotine?
Without the alkaloids juice won't be as good as a cig for some of us, however I quit accidentally and found vaping WTA's far more enjoyable. You can't buy "real WTA" anymore sadly only infused.....
Snus are an excellent alternative if you can get them and know what to
order!

Mr Good Vape does salts in 3mg and 6mg
I did not see salts just freebase - maybe I was not looking in the right place. They only have 4 flavors! Do you have a link? I am not into salts and have not seen any at very low concentrations. If it was, I would try it just for the sake of trying.

On their site I do not see any nic salts but elsewhere like here Sweet Lovin E-Juice 100ml by Mr Good Vape it does say salt infused but I think that comment is just general and not for the product.

hmm?

Nope !.

Differences are being able to just take a draw and put down my mod. Not having to smoke an entire cigarette and having to hold onto it until it's finished because clipping it means it tastes like crap when it's re-lit. No flaming lumps of tar falling off and burning my clothing. No smoke in my eyes. No ash falling on me, yellow fingers. No one bumming cigarettes off me. Never running out. Saving a fortune. Not turning the interior decor a disgusting yellow colour. etc.

Vaping is the never ending cigarette i dreamt about when i was much younger.................but better !.

For me, smoking was very much a nervous habit. So, to do it constantly I dropped my nic level and went mtl. And using flavorless is of course much closer to a cig than vaping fruits or sweets.

Thanks - that is interesting because I will try the salts --- just to see what everyone is talking about --in a lower concentration. Not interested in going the 50 nic salt route --I started at 50 freebase and years later am at between 2 and 3 and do not want to go back up.
