Yeah Andria, Virginia is the only flavor that I also find tastes better in a clearo/tank rather than a carto - precisely for the same reason you stated. Are you saying you initially didn't care for the Kayfun but gradually got used to it in time? Perhaps that's what I need, time.
Well no, because when I first got the Kayfun, that Virginia was pretty much my exclusive vape, so as far as I was concerned, the Kayfun rocked. It was only when I switched my affections to the Blueberry Muffin as my ADV that I became aware that in the Kayfun, I really didn't like it at all -- it was great in smaller clearos, like the ones at the vape shop, so I thought hmm, the Kayfun is supposed to deliver really *clear* taste, so maybe I need something without that kind of extreme clarity -- so I tried it in a carto, and bang, just as great as at the vape shop. I also tried it in my old Mini PT II, and it tasted ok, but it gunked the coil so fast, it wasn't worth it. Carto life with it was a little better, so I stuck with that.
Lately I've been playing with the recipe for the blueberry muffin/banana nut bread recipe, and I can now just about tolerate it in a kayfun, though the banana flavor comes thru too heavily, so I can reduce that. So time does play some role, in what you get used to -- the reason I was trying it again in the Kayfun is because lately it seems hard to taste, in a cartotank, probably because I'm also vaping this strawberries n cream DIY I made, which is *extremely* sweet, and vaping that in a kayfun, and that flavor is so much stronger, I get to where I can barely taste the blueberry mix at all. I'm moving more and more to "total DIY", other than the WTA, so I fiddle and fiddle with the recipe, and I think I've just about gotten the blueberry vape to something I can enjoy from a Kayfun -- I hope so, because using organic cotton balls for wicking is a helluva lot cheaper than cartos!
The main thing is that a Kayfun really does deliver *clear* taste -- and if there are notes in any given juice that you don't care for too much, they show up much more clearly in a Kayfun, or really in any rebuildable, than in any other type of atty. Since you DIY, you may be able to fiddle and fiddle as I'm doing, to get the exact taste you want -- because from a Kayfun you can REALLY taste it!
