But I thin the issue with these is getting the essence - the bite - into the vapour - this is probably not so much a taste factor as a chemical reaction factor.
I'll let you do that experiment. lemme know how it goes.
If it doesn't work for you, I can get you a hand-held 'vapour' generator of the aerosol type that will definitely bite your taste buds off.
When I was in high school, I worked at Church's Chicken for a while. One of our favorite things to pull on noobs was to have them wash out the jalapeno jar. We'd tell them to make sure they used plenty of HOT water.

All my beautiful batteries are going to be obsolete... but on the other hand, I can order a bunch of new ones. I can say that because my husband is not home right now.
