Hi juice Box fans! I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on where my order might be in the pipes.

I ordered on January 17th, #336. Chose one side graphic, which I uploaded, but got no confirmation.

I also expressed an interest in purchasing one or more extra backs with different graphics on them, but got no reply.

I must confess to being confused. We went from juicy saying that there would be a list of all the JB's send out over the weekend to now Carlos is waiting on switches???

Maybe its just me and if i have to be "that" guy then so be it. These boxes have been in the process of construction for 4 months. I fail to understand how there could still be supply and equipment issues. Waiting on switches? Are these one of a kind specially designed for the JB only switches? After all of these delays i think i could get on the phone or on the internet and call every supplier in America or the world and with Fed-ex could have them in my hand yesterday. But i would have done that 4 months ago....

i do agree. pretty absurd. need that promised list juicy.

and please no updates true love about new and improved. we're still waiting for the old and proven boxes. or at least a box. we don't need any more refinements. just my opinion, but it makes it sound like you're trying to appease the impatient with claims that may or may not amount to a hill of beans.

with several ppl selling them as fast as they get them, i'm getting understandably nervous that it may not be worth the wait.

...well, I'd like to go on record as definitely preferring to wait if by chance he does have some material change in mind!! (Haven't been waiting as long as many of you, but would choose waiting regardless... However my main reasons for getting it are probably diff than most peoples'.) What if it was something meant to address the kinds of reasons seen for those classified sales, and he skipped it due to increasing upset, but then almost immediately after this batch was closed out that improvement was announced for the next round. IMHO, that would be way worse. (You'd still be smarting from the weeks/months of frustration anyway, and then THAT??)

I know I'm probably in the minority on this and I do understand the discontent at this point, but it doesn't speak for me that I'd rather have him skip some innovation he may have had in mind and just send it. However, if he is changing or thinking about changing something material, an update identifying it would be very appropriate and advisable...

Your mom said not to say...
I had addressed this a little while back when this thread was first started but I guess it could use a retelling by the sounds of things.

4 months ago or so Carlos was just bringing these things out to people and was not expecting such an overwhelming response of orders and was not in any way prepared for such a response. I personally talked to him before he started really selling these to people and I can say with complete honesty that he didn't think it would be this successful in his wildest dreams.

Keeping this in mind, I imagine that first off he would have run out of the initial stock of the original style switches from his local RS or wherever he goes for supplies locally pretty early in the process. Throw in the fact that he is using better switches for a better product which no doubt he had to order more of after going through the local stock of those to get all of the orders out that he has.

I am pretty confident that if anyone was so inclined they could get a refund just by asking. It's not like he is off partying in Monte Carlo with everyone's money or sitting on his ..., the boxes are getting made, work is proceeding as best as it can while waiting on some critical parts. These ain't pet rocks guys, it takes time to make these things. I have faith that when the parts get in within a week or two ALL orders will be out the door. I'm sure those that ordered in Jan or Feb would love for those who ordered in the 2nd half of December were to cancel. You can't really blame a person for not expecting such an overwhelming response to a product.

This has been a godsend and curse for Carlos in some ways, he was looking for a way to make some money to support his family in this economy and was not in any position to spend hundreds of dollars on parts and stock on something that MIGHT be a winner when food and shelter are needed, remember this was not a sure thing, slam dunk money maker. All things start somewhere, this is where the JuiceBox legacy starts, Rome wasn't build overnight.

As for the reason no list was made available it is due to the fact that the expected parts did not arrive as expected so no boxes were able to be shipped. The only crime here is perhaps jumping the gun on "announcing an announcement", hardly something to get up in arms about. I hope that people can read this and see the logic I am laying out here. Have some patience and it will be rewarded in due time.

What you say may be true but when the boxes finally came in we were told he had all the parts need to get all the orders done prior to him not taking any new orders. Now we hear he doesn't have switches. What's next?

In addition, we were told this past week there would be a list of shipped JBs on Tuesday. It's now Wednesday with no list. There's a trend here of lack of communication on his part that's added to the frustration. Like mentioned either in this post or another JB thread all it would take for him to get back on here is filling out a simple form.

Maybe he should show his dedication to us as we have to him by filling the form out and providing us with updates personally instead of through a third party.

You're absolutely right. We were told he had everything to put the jb together except for the boxes. People across the nation were out searching for boxes and sending them to him. That's all he needed to complete the orders. Now it's switches. What's next? I don't mind waiting the 2 months that I have, but don't blow smoke up my. Carlos is losing credibility with me.

When I ordered mine (about Dec 7th), it still had a plunger on the side to push in the juice bottle. I had never seen or heard of one with graphics, so had no idea that could even be done. The only option I heard of was paint. I PM'd Carlos and just asked for a straight black box, red led, simple straightforward JB, and understood it was 4 - 4 1/2 weeks waiting time. I got no kind of confirmation of my order even, except that my payment went thru. I knew he was busy building, so I waited about 2 1/2 weeks, then PM'd just to be sure he had even got my order. He assured me he had, and I could expect it the second week of January. Fine, just glad to know I was on the list! Now hearing there is just a hole where the plunger was, all kinds of graphics being added (if wanted), newer mouthpieces (?), sparkley paint, I'm not even sure what I will be getting, let alone when.

To be clear, I do not want a refund, I just want what was promised. Really, I have my own boxes, paint, stickers, switches, leds, etc, I would be almost as happy with just the famous atty/bottle combo alone! What I REALLY want, more than anything else, is communication. Even the 2 PMs from him were 1 or 2 lines to me, then a form letter telling me all aobut how to order. Not knowing is the hardest part, and is likely what is frustrating most everyone who has ordered. Not having an order number, and not expecting any communication at all means I guess I just watch the mailbox everyday, and get disappointed everyday. I have gotten several other mods in the mean time, and I am now hearing people not always thrilled with the unit, I guess it seems doubtful it will live up to all the expectations and waiting time being worth it. Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised, open my mailbox tomorrow, and get the best PV ever made, but as time goes by it seems less and less likely.

OK, enough of a rant there to get it out of my system, and get the 'replied' tag on this thread. I can still wait (as if there was a choice), but please, oh please, KEEP US INFORMED!!!

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Well, this is an interesting story about supply and demand, isn't it? I've always heard that 'If you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door.' Now I'm starting to believe that half the people outside would have pitchforks, scythes and torches.

The infrequent communications-through 3rd parties at that-are a little annoying. But I'm not worried about carlos' integrity. Namely, because he quit taking orders until he got caught up, and has offered-through his intermediaries-refunds to people who are aggravated at waiting.

I'm also gratified that he is taking a gallo wine approach and selling no juicebox before its time. Others could have been tempted and sought other switches-possibly cheaper ones-to get the things out the door as quickly as possible. It looks like he's not, either due to his own sense of integrity or because he knows that if he cuts corners, enough people will howl on this site to level or kill demand.

One or two people have sold their jbs, and now people are starting to question their orders? It's obvious to even a noob like me that no design is perfect, and you can't please everybody all of the time. To a certain degree, this is a certain amount of hype being generated, and I'm not even saying it is by carlos. This goes to show the importance of well reasoned, articulated, in depth analysis in making a review and not just reporting that it vapes out of the box.

Personally, since the juice boxes have sold on the classifieds and on auctions for over twice the price, raising the price on new orders to $200 would help alleviate supply problems and cut down on the irritated throng of people tapping their feet. Again, supply and demand.

As noted the laws of supply and demand are alive and well in this instance, lol! I don't know what else to tell the angry mobs, the device kicks ..., yes there is a slight learning curve but nothing a person can't overcome just like any other mod. Yes, it sucks that you can't have it right away, I completely get that, mine is back with him for a minor repair but it is what it is. That Carlos chooses to work rather than spend his time addressing tons of inquiries is perfectly understandable as is your frustration. All I am saying is that no one feels the urgency to get these out more than Carlos and he is doing what he can and I know he can only do so much. You will be loving this device when you get it, you can rest assured of that, try to look at it like your ordered a rare hand built car, it takes more time than what it would take FordMoCo to pump out.

Okay, I just wanted to stop by with the list I promised. I'm sorry I didn't get it here sooner, but I do have a job, kids, family and other obligations.

These boxes are finished & waiting on the switches that were promised and did not come in. Had the switches come, they would have shipped Tuesday.
