Another +1 for Wyatt. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
I would be very surprised if this would have gotten cleared up this fast if it had not been publicized.
Scary thing...apply this to ANYTHING that can be deemed "dangerous" or harmful...It is however a pretty good wakeup call for what COULD happen in the future.

I have to agree that because of the outcry and indignation of many, the bank may have seen that we will protest and fight. This only happened because there was ECF and other social outlets that let people tell others about what happened.
If people didn't have warnings that it wasn't an isolated incident, the bank could very well have continued to keep this policy in place. Then others may well have followed suit.
We have been too complacent and this is a huge wake up call. Now, more than ever, it is time to join groups, such as CASAA, and become part of the solution instead of waiting until the sky actually does start falling. With larger numbers, our voices carry a lot more weight.
Thank you to the OP for bringing this to our attention. Yes, I have to admit to a bit of panic. Sometimes that is a GOOD thing. It makes one aware of what really could happen. It's time to put on my boxing gloves and get ready to fight.
You try vaping with boxing gloves on Robino, it's hard work I tells ya![]()
Ya got me.I have to agree that because of the outcry and indignation of many, the bank may have seen that we will protest and fight. This only happened because there was ECF and other social outlets that let people tell others about what happened.

Never said Wyatt should not have Shared information. Education and Awareness is Vital for self preservation.
Simple stating there is a Vast Playing field between Undiscovered and PANIC.
Saying I smell smoke and asking if anyone else smells smoke is Quite different from Yelling FIRE in a crowded theater.
I have read excellent post bringing light to situations on ECF. I would not classify this thread among them.
The information was good, the delivery - not so much.
My thoughts include:
How can this be corrected?
How will businesses be effected?
How is the LAW written?
What avenues are available to Financial institutes?
Will they be held liable for non-compliance?
So many questions to be asked and so much silence.![]()
As I understand it, the PACT Act would have to be amended by Congress in order for it to include electronic cigarettes.
I'll grant the delivery could have been a bit different. But the information was still valid. Knee jerk reactions are expected when we are all so very much on pins and needles in this climate of the unknown. It would be nice, in a way, to know what the powers that be (FDA) decide. With all the secret or last minute city councils rushing bans through....it's no wonder we panic a bit.

Personally this thread should be deleted and close. Derp you created this mess it is the MERCHANT's fault for having the wrong code. It created a panic and did NOT wait until you had all the answers. Come on take a little responsibility here.
Are there concerns ABSOLUTELY...but this was not needed and you know darn well people do not read everything in a thread so it's a total mess and I personally think it was careless.
'WyattDerp" ......... obviously you had the best of intentions. Others indicated they had a similar experience both in your state and others; now, you are being made to look like an alarmist. You are being chastised for being concerned and taking the time to SHARE information which certainly appeared to be correct. I can imagine you feel a bit angry. In fact - I hope you are a bit angry! You did nothing wrong. You cared and your reported FACTS.
You can't win for losing in some instances. Regardless of what may be said about or to you I certainly hope positive comments far exceed the negative. Your intent was pure and suggesting you made some grave error is ludicrous.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS TO BRING THE MATTER TO THE ATTENTION OF THOSE WHO MIGHT BE IN THE SAME BOAT. FINE JOB SIR - FINE JOB. TO SAY OTHERWISE ABOUT YOUR INTENT IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS! YES, I AM SHOUTING; YOUR DETRACTORS ARE SIMPLY WRONG! I AM SHOCKED TO SEE SUCH COMMENTS BY 'VETERANS' WHO SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE MALICE AND IRRESPONSIBILITY DO NOT APPLY! THIS INFIGHTING IS EXACTLY WHY MY LOCAL SHOP JOINED THE FORUM AND THEN WITHDREW.
Had this happened and you did not immediately report your experience but rather came along later and mentioned, "That happened to me a week ago" - I suspect you would have been chastised for not sharing your experience. "Duh" would be for a different reason and "irresponsible" would be used to make you appear uncaring.Infighting kills the dissemination of urgent information. A suggestion that the thread be deleted would draw harsh criticism and reports by others saying they experienced the same problem would do likewise. Those incapable of creating a YouTube video to share information with the masses would be THANKING YOU for doing so. Alas, that is not the case and the "stars" with massive post counts are flexing their muscles for the wrong reasons.
Speaking in a softer, kinder, far more gentle voice I bid you one final "thank you".
Senile Old Man Don ...... Senile, but not to such a degree I miss the obvious. Apply as you see fit.
EXCELLENT idea and that is what should be born of this thread. We need to be prepared to assemble and have our voices heard when need be. Get a committee in each state with people that can speak up. I can speak up and will speak up for something that literally SAVED MY LIFE.I would be very surprised if this would have gotten cleared up this fast if it had not been publicized.
And I think the thread opened a lot of peoples' eyes to other related issues that are still unsolved.
Nothing wrong with starting the thread, in fact, thank you.
Vapers need to have a speed between "Problem? What?" and "OMG, the sky will hit the ground in 24 hours, I need to stock up for life RIGHT THIS MINUTE."
In between is letter-writing, making phone calls, talking to legislators, talking to family members and friends so as to educate the public. A few minutes a month.
As a for-instance, I've heard from quite a few people that if you take a group of 8-20 people at once to talk to a legislator it makes a huge difference compared to going alone. Yet except for statewide actions, we can hardly ever find even 2 people in the same district to go talk together about assorted "treat vaping like smoking" laws which can lead to outdoor bans, rental property bans, etc.
I've realized one reason I don't have enough local phone #'s is that, being kind of introverted, I don't go to the effort to collect cards and phone #'s from other concerned vapers I meet. I have been remiss. I will now designate a shoebox and a computer file to this effort as my New Year's resolution, so I can do a better job of helping out locally when another idiot ban comes up in a city or county near me.
Awwwww heck Wyatt - some even criticize ya at one turn and then wind up agreeing with ya at the next turn! Funny thing is "the person" didn't even realize he/she did so! Score another for "Wyatt'!
Excellent!! CASAA always needs more members, and we need more members to be CASAA members!EXCELLENT idea and that is what should be born of this thread. We need to be prepared to assemble and have our voices heard when need be. Get a committee in each state with people that can speak up. I can speak up and will speak up for something that literally SAVED MY LIFE.
