I seriously wouldn't worry about PG/VG, it'll be around again eventually.

PG/VG supply is a lot like the TP supply.

The PG and/or VG shortage will subside, just hang in there for a few...

That depends on how far they take this covid thing. That is the reason behind the PG/VG shortages as well as shortages of even food. My local food markets still have reduced stock here and there because of restrictions on factories.

Not saying we need to stock up on VG and PG (I'm not), but the future is not that predictable for supply chains even in March 2021.

A lot of that is a manufactured crisis. My husband is a food vendor, he delivers to grocery stores every night. The shelves may be empty, but those back rooms are packed.

Even recently, I was hearing 'don't worry about pg, vg and flavorings'. Guess folks were wrong about that.

This is a shortage issue created by covid mainly, according to suppliers. PG and VG too are used in making hand sanitizer, along with a lot of other products, including medical. In addition to high demand there have been disruptions in the supply chains from manufacturing to delivery, as we all know. This is not due to being a vaping related item at all. So no one was wrong in saying these are items that will still be available to buy and have shipped to you post vape mail ban. I bet there are more soap makers using it than vapers.

Really? Because up until about 8 years ago I worked for a DSD vendor and typically grocery stores have very little stock in the backroom between delivery days. All my stores got between 1 and 2 deliveries a week. Stock goes out on sales floor same night. Back room was mostly DSD vendor stock (like pepsi, coke, cookies, salty snacks, etc) and not that much of it because they didn't want us to have too much stock back there. Pepsi/coke took up many bays though.

Walmart is a different story though.

Depends on your work force too. Here the grocery stores are desperate for workers. All the 24/hr stores now close at 10pm to restock and they are lucky if they have a handful of stockers.

Fresh baked goods go out every night. Pepsi/coke takes up space yes. But a lot of stores don't let vendors have room in the back anymore. Don't get me started on walmart.

Now, so far as variety of things that were available before a year ago, yes, there are some things you just can't find anymore, but I highly doubt supply chain issues have anything to do with it. My husband's company just stopped making a lot of the variety of items that they used to "just because". At the beginning, I was concerned about the shortage of yeast and flour for their production line. Nope, they always had enough. Now they only take out four basic items, and the suits are crying because sales are down. Well, duh, you don't make what people want, why should they buy stuff they don't just because you have a "big name"?

Welcome to...ok, not gonna go there. Too many folks around here have disappeared for saying certain things. But, you're a smart guy, you know where I'm going with this. (Meant sincerely, you know what's up).

Yeah me too. That was one of the worst jobs I ever had and Walmart was a HUUUUUGE source of the stress that went along with DSD sales.
Be glad you're out of it. Husband's been doing it for 2 different companies now for 20 years. Kroger isn't any better. I can't see him doing anything else though. There's no way he'd last working with a boss 2 steps behind him all day. His biggest gripes are receivers, store managers, and customers demanding free stuff.

US Vapers need to buy a state and secede.

I'm willing to take in smokers, just for the #s, as long as they promise to switch to vaping within 1 year. If they don't they have to get out.

Texas is willing to secede. We need to kick the Californians out first.

There was a thread about this a long time ago IIRC.

I think it depends a great deal on where you are. I know since last year this time we have had multiple disasters to deal with. The pandemic that the world has had to deal with and the associated panic buying. Then here we also had 2 Hurricanes and the big Freeze all 3 of which took out power for a very long time causing stores to have to throw out a great deal of food due to spoilage (ok and individuals at home had to pitch it all as well). Our stores here have never fully recovered though it is improving.

I keep my vape supplies for the same reason I keep a 30-60 day pantry of shelf stable food. You never know what life is going to throw at you or when. Better to be ready than to go hungry (I thank Hurricane Rita for teaching me that lesson the hard way). Those of use that have been around ECF for a few years have had ample warnings about what was coming for vaping. The Government threw us a curveball with the postal ban but we knew it was all going to heck and soon anyways.

PG and VG supplies will sort themselves out in time. Will the price ever come back down when they do? I don't know. Prices rarely go down once people prove they will pay the higher price. I would tell someone to pick up a gallon of each when they can find it.

Also don't forget Tractor Supply as a possible source. Both are used for farm animals.

    Hi.
Tried to order some nic from Heartland, and guess what?
They will not sell to me, billed from New York, but shipping to Conneticut.
I'll look for another vendor, or try to convince my big brother to order it for me.

    (update!! Fixed! see below)

Try LiquidNicotineWholesalers.com or see this list of nic vendors.

I'm surprised they are going by billing address and not shipping address. Hope you find someone who'll bill to NY but ship to CT.

Thanks for your replies, @bsidb and @UncleJunkle . I was going to place an order with Liquid Nic after lunch. But my phone rings from Oklahoma City? And for no reason, I answered it.
And the sweet CSR  from Heartland Vapes explained that the age verify program nixxed my sale.

But she would complete it for me, shipping to CT>!!!!!!!

    :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I'm glad I picked the call up. She apologized, cause they are swamped with the mail ban. As busy as they are, she took the time to make my sale!!! Big hugs to them!!!

(and this time, it will live in the deep freeze!!!, next to the half box of pierogies.)

    :)
