I've followed Feinstein since I was in Santa Rosa doing my Lower Units. And watch here Meteoric Rise after Moscone and Milk were assassinated.

I have said Many thing about how I feel about her here on the ECF. Many got me Very Close to Time Outs or a trip to the Sin Bin. But I never said that I thought she was Inept.

She was one of the Most Cunning and Skillful Politian's in the Modern Era. If Only she had used her Skill for Good and Not for Personal Gain, I might have even been able to respect her.

If she would have used her skills for good and not for personal gain then she would have chosen a different profession or been a unique party of one.

I don't know what we could have done differently that would have changed the outcome. We simply did not have the numbers to protect an activity deemed eternally evil by 90% of the general public. That's a tough nut to crack.

I think the die perhaps was cast when the name "E-cigarette" became the term we all used. It got the Neo-Puritans all stirred up and the slow crushing mill ground the industry to a powder. It took a while but these folks never quit.

CC companies are in the business of making money. You can buy cigarettes with your credit card anywhere in the world. And booze. I just don't get it. This is America?

I Hate to be So Cynical. But you know How it Works in America.

Maybe you want some Tax Credits for switching more of your Delivery Vehicles over to Electric. Or a Bigger Commitment/Contract to Ship Med Supplies to States. So you send your people to Washington with Halliburton's.

Things are Cool and it looks like you have found some Pockets that want Filling, but there are a Few Strings. Things like More Minority/Women hiring in leadership roles, More Funding for Local Officials, Stop Shipping e-Cigarettes, etc.

So you go Back to Corporate and crunch some number and Find that the Price of the Strings Isn't all that bad. And the people in PR find a Way to spin it in the Companies Best Interest.

Paypal only did this because as a 3rd party processor they are not allowed to accept payment for most "high risk" product transactions. Paypal is behonden to their processor who is beholden o the big banks. Same with all other 3rd party processors.

All are beholden to the federal government, they all have regulators. When the wind shifts so do their policies.

I think most of the decline can be traced back to 1913 when a certain Princeton man was elected. His wife finished out his term when he had a stroke in October of 1919..
And now we have the same scenario. Our first lady is serving out the rest of our president's term for the same reason.

I tried to tip toe around the similarities, the admins might object. I have already fallen out of favor with them. But I figured that of all folks you would get it for certain.

The mantle of stupidity and corruption can never be laid only on one party. Actually, I think there is, in effect, one party.
I believe there are two parties. One is evil, the other spineless. But there is bleedover on both sides.

I would have to say that the vape business is not super high on the list of high volume CC transactions .. these outfits are either Public or Private companies, dictated to by the shareholders and / or owners ..

Doubtful the loss of Vape business will cause any real change in the Quarterly Earnings statements ..

I just got 2 liters of 100mg/ml nicotine. That and the 1 liter I have in the freezer should last about 5 years. I was prepping for years by buying all the coils(on sale, only) I could afford. And actually have about 100 coils and 20 rebuildable ones. To say I will be good to go is nice. If I cut down the nic in my juice it may last longer then 5 years. As I use 19w in a protank, the coils last me 4 to 5 months. I saw the writing on the walls years ago. Vaping has been a lifesaver for me. By the time I run out of juice, I hope that some form of juice will be appoved and available for me. So, good luck to all in the coming years.
Protank coils can be rebuilt. Hunt a video on it. That will let you not open most of the new ones (they age better unopened). Just keep 5-10 in a rotation of use, then store, then rebuild when they all 5-10 need it. Lather rinse repeat. I went years on 5 coils.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Some vape shops have been notified that CC companies will no longer process transactions. For at least one, the notice came midday and he was even unable to close the batch of transactions that did go through.

Wait, I was just thinking. We need more info. If this was a b&M that only processed card-present transactions, that's a problem. But if they also proccessed (or solely processed) online transactions, then the processors may only be targeting those that process online (card-not-present), solely or partly.

This would be inline with the shipping ban:. don't allow card-not-present processing since shipping is forbidden. This would mean B&M vape shops can still exist.

However inventory acquisition is another issue.

ETA: Merchant could have also had an account in bad standing for a variety of reasons, one being too many chargebacks/disputes.

Wee need moe info.

What killed us was that EVALI outbreak that was universally blamed on vaping, even though it had absolutely nothing to do with us. That was the beginning of the end.
Not exactly - I'm a news nut. And here is how it unfolded:
Maybe 2-3 years before the mysterious lung disease, the mainstream news media started to harp on, insistently , a sudden pandemic of teen vaping and addiction - Day in, day out, over and over, they made this a major news story {they are starting to do this again} - They would have had you believe that a good part of the teenagers in America were becoming instant nicotine addicts. This crap was not working, in fact it was probably backfiring as they were actually causing teens to try vaping!

They needed something else - more dramatic,
and as the devil finds a way they suddenly found a vaping product that injures and kills.

I maintain that this was not coincidence, not just an accident - It was deliberate!!!

Some one did it deliberately, designed those vapes, even if marijuana and underground sale - to injure and kill!

Then the news media, already bought and paid for, probably by Mike bumborg {sic}, who in fact made most of his billions in that business, was in heat
- They finally had the smoking gun they wanted
- VAPING IS DAMGEROUS AND KILLS!!!
A dream come true - Think back and remember how they played that one - Made it look like a national emergency - It seemed at any moment they were goiing to outlaw vaping entirely - As did the nation of India whose excuse was all the deaths occurring in the USA.

No, you don't have to be a conspiracy nut to smell and see the conspiracy to destroy vaping that unfolded. Only diligent work by investigators showing most deaths were from illegal products, and then suddenly the pandemic, Covid 19 - slowed them down, but still has not stopped them.

Mike blumborg's {sic] money and control over the media should not be underestimated !!!

They will never play stories like this:

"A Billion Lives' Documentary Suggests There's a Conspiracy Against Vaping
