¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Those are all card-present transactions

Paypal allows B&M vape merchants to take paypal. Customer-present (or at least they used to back in 2014 when they had to forbid online transactions). Customer present/card-present = lower risk.

"High risk" has more than one definition in the processing industry and is attributed to the product, the transaction type or both.

Means one or a combination of the following...

- Product has high consumer liability issues
- Sales of products have high rates of fraudulent transactions
- Product is adult oriented
- Product has high rates of chargebacks/disputed transactions
- Product is regulated by the govt.
- Customer is not present for transaction
- Card is not seen by merchant when transaction occurs.

etc.

That's what the article describes.

If vape shops end up cash only but can continue to acquire inventory, at least until the FDA approves/rejects anything, I'll consider that a small inconvenience.
I think the deal here is these rules and regs continue to choke these shops into oblivion. Where there is a workaround, another rule/reg comes in to wipe it out.

True. But our CA dispensaries are doing brisk business--cash and debit only notwithstanding. They even got stimulus money from the government--essential business status. Schools are closed, but pot shops and Disneyland are open. La-la.

There will be a thin line between what vape shops are allowed to do and the black market. The latter will emerge once the former gets squeezed too tight. About there now.

The real danger is when they realize they can not, probably because that was not their real agenda, control some underage use.
So for 'the good of the children' they 1. Outlaw all vape devices and juices, as has already been done in India.
and 2. Declare Nicotine a narcotic and make possession {accept in prescription form| a felony drug offense and tack serious jail time on for possession {again as already is the case in India}.

So people will go back to smoking cigarettes and will not live as long - Maybe that's the real agenda, population control ?!?!

I haven't checked cigarette prices in a long long time. I was talking with the significant other about this vape mail ban. A pack of cheapie cigs are about 8.99 in WI and tag on 2.52 excise tax and WI tax of .37cents. That my friends is what the goobermint is needing/wanting. Just my two cents.

Great to see the forum is still up and running.. I just made my last nicotine orders. A week ago I bought a gallon of 100mg with Nicotine River. Then I bought 4 more 1 liters with the St. Pattys day sale. I have two vapers in the house now I need all I can get. I still mix, although sometimes I do get lazy and get 1 shots from Wizard Labs. Hubby just left the house to check the status of the local B&M’s and see if they have anything worth buying. He checked online but we are a little late for good hardware.. most places are sold out. We have a cabinet filled with various mods and extensive rebuilding material. We pulled a lot of plans online and if worse comes to worse I am prepared to get the garage in ship shape and make some simple box mods. ANYTHING to keep the men in my life away from Sigs. I lost my Mom in 2017, and he lost both his parents earlier from smoking.. They want us broke, then they want us dead. Makes my heart sad. Hugs ya all, - Peg

Literally had no idea this was going on until I got an email from a supplier and researched. I’ve been vaping so long, I just don’t pay attention and go about my business. Good lord, they are killing the whole industry. This will turn into black market. I mean at this point, I’ve been vaping since 2009, I have a lot of nicotine, and I ordered more, but now will be forced to use my old rebuildables at some point and hope I can get batteries. Just unbelievable. I thought we were adults living in a free country. But that is not the case apparently.

Pardon me if this has already been mentioned. But... What are we stocking up for?? We can just order from China, UK, and Australia.
Assuming it isn't caught by US customs or that those companys will risk shipping it to the US.
