I know people who have received shipping via X - a little slower and somewhat inaccurate tracking but they did get their order and the driver made sure they signed for it as required.
So at this point - Is there really that big a problem as far as shipping goes ???
As of right now there are no shipping option to my area on any of the major sites I frequent for supplies. Thankfully I am not really in need of anything but the coverage is still very hit or miss for shipping.

For Every 1 Person who is inside a Xdelivery area, there is probably 5 who Aren't. That, and I believe Xdelivery has a 500 Items per Month Minimum. Something many Shops can't do.

So Yeah... There might be a Problem.

I live in the Appalachian mountain region, I haven't bothered checking but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't qualify for X shipping, even if it was a big enough vape shop to be able to use the service...

Couple that with what the FDA is willing to approve and it really is the end of vaping in the U.S.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If X will ship cigarettes and chew, that puts cigs/chew back in the mail order game, no? And if so, that would give X a lot more business and they might be able to decrease their monthly minimum shipments policy to maybe 100 or 200, right? There are still a lot of smokers out there, and dippers.

Not too many people are going to buy cigarettes online when you can get them at your corner gas station. There may be specialty cigarettes, but that is a niche market, even smaller than vapers. Likewise, pipe tobacco and chew can be purchased at a smoke shop.

How many are even going to try now? Vaping.com won't, and that's likely to be typical

Yeah, we're trying to take a longer term view here, if the big guns like UPS/Fedex banned it when they didn't have to, then there is always a chance in the future there may be the possibility of an exemption. So we will just be doing everything we can to be totally compliant, including any extra lengths we can go to make sure products stay out of the hands of minors, for us that means working on our own age verification solutions. It's a long shot, but it's not out of the question.

We have about 60-70% coverage as of today, we believe it will be closer to 85% in relatively short order.

The pickup minimum is 500 for a single pickup, not per month, so if you were only doing 500 sales in a month you would only be able to get one pickup per month which won't be at all sustainable.

Yeah but like anything, it can be cheaper online where there may not be the b&m overhead...

This may become big depending on state and local regulations:
An online store with a physical address in Las Vegas sells a wide variety of vape products, many at discount online prices - I buy from this store. A few months ago, when the new sign for shipping rates went into effect I called the store and asked if I could buy items directly in his store, as the store is nearby.
    He reported he could not sell from the store and I could not purchase items there {physically in the store}
BUT a few months later he was apparently able to update his policy - Now you can buy items online and at checkout check 'pickup' - So you buy online and pickup purchase at the store - No shipping charge!
I predict this will become very popular now that postal shipping is set to disappear
This dealer is a large online seller - My local small B&M store said he could not do sales that way and was required to use only his wholesaler.
I would still check, if you have local shops in your area, to see if they will either purchase for you or order items for you - Assuming you pay for it.

Yes my local b&m will buy me anything I want.. but that will be moot at some future point when the only thing you can buy needs FDA approval...

Which if it is only a very few marketing approved items might make survival for a dedicated vape shop impossible.

With only the one thing market approved at this point Convenience stores win.

Yikes... That's Not Good. Now I can Understand why there were so many Reports of Orders not moving from Retailers causing Long Delivery Times.

If My Order is the 300th, it will just sit there until 200 More Orders are placed and Processed.

BTW - Do you know what happens if an Xdelivery Order is Out for Delivery but there is No One to Sign for it? Is an Attempt made to Re-Deliver? Or does it just go back to the Sender?

    I do know the answer!
Mine was early and I didn't hear them when they knocked on the door, finally got her getting back in the van and she told me that if nobody is home to sign, it gets sent back.....

I do have a question.. I checked and x doesn't deliver to my area at all..

Does that mean my local b&m won't be able to get new stock in as well? If off the beaten path b&m's can't get stock in, that's a new wrinkle..

I believe the vape mail ban is only for business to consumer. Biz to biz should be ok because the local B&M would be the one that checks your ID and makes sure the proper taxes are paid on the sale.

The B&M's will be screwed if they can only sell you a tobacco Vuse because that's the only one that has PMTA.
