For the pt to work in your car MAKE SURE the output of the adapter is 1amp or more

I found a great one at Walgreens! Dual usb ports and I think it was about $8 and actually works in my truck (which is 12v). I run my 5v PureSmoker passthrough on it. E Tek Dual USB Car Charger | Walgreens

To all you folks using your computer outlets, I would suggest getting adapters. If you overload, and blow something out by accident, it's easier to replace your adapter than have your computer repaired.

Very good point Jim---I am not risking my motherboard on a stuck on passthough ever---if you can get the power from somewhere else, go for it. Is it very unlikely--yes--Can it happen--Yes---so why risk it. That is my take.

Exactly! I use excusively the battery packs with my USB and that way I can vape in the car, on the couch, in the park etc. and never worry about plugging in. I have used the Kensington for over a month now with pretty heavy vaping use on the less expensive usb models (the car adapter I got from TW didnt work well at all) and I got the 2 amp one for the PS high voltage pass throughs as I heard there might be problems with the kensington on the high voltage ones and I didnt want to ruin my Kensington as that one lasts like a day and a 1/2 and a short charging time. PS dont work for Kensington just love these battery packs they are awesome!

Glad I could help. Just make sure the output is 5V and 1amp or above. (tip of the hat to JD). Some duals will say "1amp" but that's 500ma on each.

Kent, I was just going to post that! LOL Markarich159 posted a link to those back in early Sept. in response to what would work with the 5v PS passthrough. I'm glad to see this guy still has them!
I hear they are really well built! For $1.95! Jeeze, doesn't get better than that!! I paid more than that for my cheapo iPod ones from DX ($2.50 ha).
