I love my uwell Crown rba but I'm having issues with it leaking all the time. I have a twisted 26 gauge kanthal wrapped around a 2.5mm drill bit reading at .58 ohms. I'm using cellucotton and whenever I tip it to the side, it will start dripping like mad. I've tried using more cellucotton then less cellucotton and I can't quite get it down. The flavor is outstanding but the leaking is aggravating me. Do you think it's because of the cellucotton?

My Phantom sub ohm tank should be arriving today. I'll compare the two and see if I'll have the same issues.
Or too much wick. That can cause flooding too. Not familiar with that tank, but I have issues with just about every new tank I get until I figure them out. You may have the coil built too close to the air hole too. There are a dozen different things that will make a tank leak. Can you upload pics of your build? That might help us help you.
The rba head is extremely good. It's been my favorite so far as far as flavor and vapor production is good as well. I've owned probably 11 tanks and this has been confusing me as far as the leaking. I finally put Japanese cotton instead of the cellucotton and that has stopped the leaking unless I fill it up close to the top and it pushes the juice down when I screw the cap on. I think since cellucotton is so absorbent, it feeds too much juice through the rba head. I got it mostly figured out and can vape at 40 watts no dry hits.
seems to be a vacuum issue Ive tried various wicking techniques and never get any gurgling indicating a wicking issue nor do I get any dry hits but when I open the top cap whether I fill it or not you see bubbles coming up and when I put it back on and tilt the tank juice will pour out the air hole. It stops after losing a little and the tank will not leak again until you open the top. I close the air flow before opening and it makes no difference. This characteristic only happens with the RBA. The stock coils I can fill it all day long and it doesn't leak a drop. I'm gonna try bottom filling next time and see if it makes a difference.
Yep, that's the same thing that's going on with me. I'll try filling it from the bottom tonight and see if that makes a difference. I haven't tried the coils yet so i'll probably try it later tonight after work.
It hasn't leaked for me, yet. I just bought the steam crave rdta 6 ml. I've heard awesome things about it and might do a dual Clapton on it. Just ordered it tonight.
Hey guys this is my first post and hopefully someone may have figured this out by now. I bought the UWELL rba a few days ago and hadn't used it until lastnight. Before that it has been the premade coils and 0 issue with leaking. The rba came stock with a .30 316 stainless coil build, I wicked it accordingly using the cotton it came with. Hits and tastes phenominal using max vg but this leaking is ridiculous. I tried top filling and bottom filling, I rinsed everything out and made sure all the gasket areas are tightened as well. When it is just resting doing nothing, it stills pools in the base, and will run out the air holes if tilted. How do I post pics ?

Okay so I think I may be onto something with this critter. I removed my wick and decided to try this again. My original wick stopped just at the edge of the inner part of the deck so the chimney would slide over it, but after thinking about this I decided to keep a bit more wicking on the end to crowd the inside of the chimney. I cut the wicking material to the outter edges just above the decks main black o-ring and then soaked the wicking material, then carefully pressed the wicking upwards a bit as I was slipping the chimney over everything (Make sure you press the chimney onto the deck fully). Once that was done, I used some small forseps (tweezers, just better then typical very sharp and pointy) and pressed the wicking from the top of the rba chimney center downwards so that the wicking material was pushed against the inner walls of the chimney towards the wicking ports. Once packed well and still leaving the coil itself open on top I put everything back together, made sure the air holes are closed completely and filled the tank from the top. I didn't fill it to the point of the metal cage, just below it so there was no chance of causing pressure by possible overfill. Then tightened the lid down and vaped. So far so good. I'm still concerned of it possibly leaking just by sitting there soaking the wick, but if theory is correct, these tanks create a vacuum that should stop this from happening, meaning gravity feed. I'll post my results by the end of the day if not sooner, depends if issues arise. Once I can post pictures, it'll be easier to show then explain I think. Have a great day everyone.

Okay guys, so I decided to wait an entire day with this test and behold, not a single leak. I've filled it three times since I did this wicking process and making sure not to over fill it, meaning above the metal cage at the top fill position. Using it on the Sigelei 150 @ 40 watts, 3.3 volts and it comes in at a 0.20. I noticed it was a spread single coil so I spread it a bit more and went with it. Awesome vape and cloud production and not a single dry hit from the three tankfuls of max vg.
I have the Artic, Atlantis, and now this UWELL and this UWELL flat out wins the tank wars lol. By far the smartest tank made to date as far as I am concerned. Main thing is making sure after putting in your rba coil head, check that everything is snug, don't over tighten this device, just enough to insure no leaks, wick it with a bit extra cotton and make sure the wicking ports are completely covered without covering the coil itself. I cut a piece of japanese cotton about a 1/4" wide, twist it tight on one end then pull it through so it's a snug pull through but not to the point of pulling on the coil itself. I've also taken it up to 70 watts without an issue, it could probably run higher but you'll have a much hotter vape of course, I tend to prefer warm myself. Sorry for the late post to this thread. The secret to wicking the Crown's RBA deck properly (NO leaks) is to create a "S" wick. NO fluffy ends up against the juice holes. You can also use a little juice on your cotton to help position the S wick properly during your wicking. This video explains it in great detail:
For me, it was an issue of the top cap of the RBA not being secured down. A small piece of the wicking kept it from being completely shut, even though it looked fine (<1mm space seam-to-seam). It's hard to see this seam when the RBA is screwed into the base, so I kept missing it before. After pinching the top to the bottom, it 'snapped' shut, and has been working great ever since, even top refilling with the airholes open with no problems.
