If this tank had a delrin tip it would be the best tank ever.
I have one on the way, my last one I had the inside diameter the same but the bore hole at the top was different. This time, I gave him the Crown drip tip to copy identical in derlin.

Is it me or do you find the Crown more airy than the TFV4 ?

Dunno, I feel like the TFV4 has more flow on the .15 but not by much if any at all. They both flow pretty well. I just reach for the Crown more because it is easier to fill up on the go. Glad you are finally getting to enjoy it.

One is of the belief one has received mail of the vaping variety. Ahem. Back in the real world...

Needed to be somewhere. There I was, moaning at the Mrs about Royal Mail being a shower of shi., when I spotted a geezer in bright orange walking towards our place. Nice one mate, spot on. Cheers. Looking forward to trying this fella out, heard a lot of good things.

Don't know about the TFV4, but will say the Crown is much less airy than either my SMOK TCT or my Starre Pro.

@Rixsta - when you say you gave "him" the drip tip to copy -- is this an online company or a personal friend that is doing this for you? I would love to find a way to make a complete copy of the Crown tip in black delrin -- would allow me to go higher in wattage.

It's a friend at his workshop, if it turns out well, I will probably have more made up for ebay. We shall see. I'll keep you posted.

So.... the longevity of the heads appears to vary widely. Natch, we all understand that "gunker juices" play a significant role in a shorter life span but this variable is not present in the last few posts.

WHY?

I can only guess at the contributing factors and why we see such a wide variance in the life of a head. Is it the Watts used? Poor QC so some heads are defective from the factory? The PG/VG ratio? Improper priming and break in?

Your thoughts...

In some respects I think it the user's idea of what a failing head is. I've tired others' tanks before and thought they were 'off', only to find the user thought they were just dandy. Of course, most of us use more than one damned tank/atty/clearo/RDA/RTA or whatever, so until we are actually comparing apples to apples. i.e., mL to mL and not just time-based approximations of coil longevity, we're really grasping at straws. And even if we did have a mL to mL comparisons, there are, as you said, still so many factors that we'll never know unless we all vaped on the same set-up with the exact same liquids (PG/VG ratio and all)--and we'd still have subjective differences with taste, so it's a wash in the end. My opinion.

Still just posting my opinion, but for how I vape, these heads have been extremely consistent. The liquids I use, however, are not always the same and some act differently, have different ratios, flavoring/sweetener percentages and whatnot. This is just how vaping is. It's very particular to the user, but we as vapers generally do a damned good job coming together--like on this forum--to come to some type of consensus, even if it's that there is none.

At the end of my 6th tank, I started to get a few dry hits. My 7th tank and it's nothing but dry hits, no flavor. I pulled the base off, cotton is saturated, no discoloration. This is a new coil from a fresh pack, and I used the ramp up break in that is described throughout this thread. I'm getting frustrated, any suggestions? 70/30 mix at 75w.

Have you tried a higher VG, like 90%? I dunno, I feel bad for you but I can also say that I've been where you are, e.g., having issues with a device that most others are either not 'fessing up to, not having or just managing to counteract. It sucks to be in that place, but I can tell you that no device is worth frustration unless you can fix the problem yourself, and for me, that only ever means dealing with rebuildables of some sort.
