I have one on the way, my last one I had the inside diameter the same but the bore hole at the top was different. This time, I gave him the Crown drip tip to copy identical in derlin.

I have no idea what your doing to those coils.Sixth tank and I am getting dry hits, not burnt @ 75w.
Is it me or do you find the Crown more airy than the TFV4 ?
Don't know about the TFV4, but will say the Crown is much less airy than either my SMOK TCT or my Starre Pro.Dunno, I feel like the TFV4 has more flow on the .15 but not by much if any at all. They both flow pretty well. I just reach for the Crown more because it is easier to fill up on the go. Glad you are finally getting to enjoy it.
@Rixsta - when you say you gave "him" the drip tip to copy -- is this an online company or a personal friend that is doing this for you? I would love to find a way to make a complete copy of the Crown tip in black delrin -- would allow me to go higher in wattage.I have one on the way, my last one I had the inside diameter the same but the bore hole at the top was different. Me neither. Maybe I need thicker vg than the 70/30 I'm running.I have no idea what your doing to those coils.
It's a friend at his workshop, if it turns out well, I will probably have more made up for ebay. We shall see. I'll keep you posted.@Rixsta - when you say you gave "him" the drip tip to copy -- is this an online company or a personal friend that is doing this for you? One is of the belief one has received mail of the vaping variety. Ahem. Back in the real world...
Needed to be somewhere. There I was, moaning at the Mrs about Royal Mail being a shower of shi., when I spotted a geezer in bright orange walking towards our place. Nice one mate, spot on. Cheers. Looking forward to trying this fella out, heard a lot of good things.
I mix at 70VG 30PG in all my tanks, doubt it's that.Me neither. Maybe I need thicker vg than the 70/30 I'm running.
Da Crown n Hex crewGive it a couple days and my Cherry Vapes delrin tip should be here. My fingers are crossed.
Oh and all the other goodies I ordered should be here tonight... im gonna be a soldering FOOL!! Compared to just a normal everyday fool....
So.... the longevity of the heads appears to vary widely. Natch, we all understand that "gunker juices" play a significant role in a shorter life span but this variable is not present in the last few posts.
WHY?
I can only guess at the contributing factors and why we see such a wide variance in the life of a head. Is it the Watts used? Poor QC so some heads are defective from the factory? The PG/VG ratio? Improper priming and break in?
Your thoughts...
At the end of my 6th tank, I started to get a few dry hits. My 7th tank and it's nothing but dry hits, no flavor. I pulled the base off, cotton is saturated, no discoloration. This is a new coil from a fresh pack, and I used the ramp up break in that is described throughout this thread. I'm getting frustrated, any suggestions? 70/30 mix at 75w.
Try rewicking it?A quick search revealed I am not alone. Others are having the same exact problem. The coil just flat out stops wicking.
