Hopefully, I'll get the wicking figured out because I love this tank and don't want to HAVE to buy coils.

Although I'm determined to use the RBA section, I ordered 4 packs of coils. At that price and no shipping or handling fee, I couldn't pass 'em up! :thumb:

Exactly, that has to be about cost for the distributor. I've never purchased anything from this company in the past, but when someone provides a great deal, I usually return the favor and buy others things in the future.

That video I posted a few pages back on priming coils shows how to wick the RBA with that s wick in detail

I've watched all his Crown vids. I didn't see the S wick in the above vid, but did see it here:

I get dry hits with that much cotton pack into those tiny slots. :(

I don't remember reading anyone saying their RBA sections work amazingly. Hopefully you get it sorted out.

I unsuccessfully tried your method. How in the world did you get the cover over all that wick?

Sorry...I don't think I was clear enough. With the top cap off, saturate the wick. I use KGD so allow enough time for the wick to absorb the juice. You can even trim it. Then squeeze the wick on both sides so it's as compressed as possible. Then insert the top cap carefully and don't worry about the notch. You turn it after installed so it fits in the notch.

HTH

With the deal I just got, that wouldn't be an issue, but at regular prices, I'm screwed. I prime the pre-made coils just like the vid. Sometimes I even soak them over night. I ramp up by the 5's and still only get 16mls through before it's time to change out, which is 4 days for me.

The reviewer seems very happy with with his RBA section. ;)
He has another vid where he doesn't use the S. That's the one I started with.

I'm going to keep at it. Are you happy with the RBA section and what's HTH?

Old school habit.

HTH = Hope This Helps

For me the RBA is a hedge against what might happen in the future. Along with the FDA getting ready to ruin our day at a future point in time the heads may no longer be available for purchase sometime in the future. Even though I have plenty of heads the RBA is just insurance and for some a way to save money. The vape is fine. A little tricky to build since it's so small but just keep at it.

Good luck!

Seems like my .25 coil it bad
None of my mods will accept it
Can it be fixed?
Hope so

Thanks :)
You say seems bad. Why do you say that? the .25 is my favorite... do you have a separate ohm meter you could test the coil on?... you say none of your mods will accept it. I'm assuming the resistance is too low.. my advice would be to check it on a separate ohm meter, I do that myself to test new coils out of the box before they are juiced up and installed on my mods... you didn't say what mods you're trying to use but make sure they can fire down at least to .2 ohm... good luck

Kbox and Vapor shark
I'm not sure about the vapor shark but I think that Kbox will only fire down to .4 ohms... I've never used those mods so I can't be sure...that said I have been running the .25 in both my Crowns on the IPV4 at 65-70w the past couple weeks..(V4 can fire down to .1 ohm with 10Ow available)... These coils really come alive at the higher wattages.. I glad the .5 works for you.. I haven't tried it because I love the vapor/flavor produced with the .25..
