Here's my thoughts on the tank system by Uwell. Basically it works and fills okay. Major gripes are unscrewing the top piece with just the drip tip and seal piece is crappy because you can accidentally unscrew the tank itself because it joins with two metal pieces encasing the glass tank wall. Fluid will dump into the airflow chamber and ruin a tank of liquid. Also, there is not enough airflow in my opinion on the tank system. If you grip the top tank metal piece and then very carefully unscrew the top seal with the drip tip you can refill the tank without issues.

Pros are it's made from I guess d-series steel alloy. D is a steel used for industrial cutting blades and long use application with little sharpening. The tank system itself is long and heavy, but good quality. Have had some minor dings in the black paint they use to make my unit black so expect a few silver-colored nicks and dings to get onto the tank system with use.

The smok tfv4 to me seems superior because you just twist the top to the side and fill that way. Saw rip trippers review of the tfv4 and he mentioned seal grommet issues like flecking and falling apart. ymmv considering all of these mentioned issues.

Overall happy with the uwell tank and have been using it for the last week. If you buy the black unit the coils are still stock silver color so expect a little variance seeing the silver coil through the black, well everything else is black, steel.

@sd3614 I'm in the same exact boat, currently waiting on the black crown I ordered last weekend. Oh and still waiting on the black TFV4 haha

I have sworn off Black tanks because I just don't believe I need a China paint between my juice and my tank but for $21 ...(and since I was ordering their coils).

I hope the finish holds up!

Just got my crown today. Rockin the .15 (.13) on my DNA. 500°F, 50 watts, Teleos The Milk. Great vape, these nickel heads can take sum power and don't disappoint. Thanks guys for the help finding one on the cheap. Gonna try the rba section tomorrow.

I have 4 or 5 packs of coils and the RTA on the way.
4 or 5 because they were out of the tweezers I ordered so I said just put an extra pack of coils in it instead.
I'm vaping unflavored for the next week so I'll try a coil from each pack for a few tankfuls, wash and dry them and store them all in a ziplock.

I'm 10ml of regular juice + 60ml of unflavored 3mg Max VG on the included-with-the-tank .25 coil.
I'm using it at 65W and at 70ml it hasn't started to taste the least bit off.
Anyone vape unflavored here? Wondering how many mls these coils are good for with this stuff.

I haven't even tried any from the 2 packs of replacement coils I already have.
That would suck if they were selling off known bad stock but word gets around fast about shady practices.
I doubt a reputable company like Code-3 would threaten their rep by flooding the market with junk when they could return it to their supplier.

Interesting. Definitely do not have this problem. In fact, the opposite. For me, it is sometimes difficult to unscrew the rest of the tank from my mod. Not once have I run into an issue with accidentally unscrewing the tank itself when unscrewing the top. But that's just me. I will say that sometimes, it take a few seconds to set the top on correctly to screw it on (from that perspective, the Starre Pro is "slightly" better if not for the stupid on/off switch). But overall for me, the Crown is the easiest tank to refill - and that's a good thing given it sucks juice quicker than anything else i have (I don't and probably won't get the TFV4)

Same here, never had an issue removing cap from Crown, hell it's the best feature. So easy. Removing tank from mod....trickier and I think that was one of the things I did complain about on page #3.

Now for me I'd accidentally un-screw the top off Starre Pro all the time, the cap was too tight on the ones I had and the whole thing wanted to come off (when I had them, sold because I liked OG Starre better which was crazy).

TFV4 top fill is messy IMO, I feel the need to take the white thing out to make less of a mess and that is just an extra step/ but minor hassle (I just keep tooth picks around).

The joy of nothing being perfect :)

You expect black coils to match, ah come on man.

Just got my crown tank yesterday and started vaping with the RBA section. Can anyone help with the following questions?

1. What awg is the prebuild coil in the RBA section?
2. SS seems to heat up much faster then kanthal. I'm vaping at 17w n still get a warm vape and clouds. Is it the same for u?
3. Vaping at 17w but the juice depletes so quick! is that the characteristic of a SS coil compared to kanthal?

Really excited with SS as it seems to give out a better flavor and people are saying the coils n cotton stay clean for a long time. Just getting the hang of it, switching from kanthal to SS. Hope to be given some insight on this.

This is the answer to the TFV4 filling, solves the problem, I use this for all my tanks, still wide enough to suck max VG up too, I wouldn't be without it.

Day two of the Crown tank and it's become very clear to me that this is the No1 tank, I have just tried my DIY Double apple, Cinnamon roll and Cream juice, what is going on, vaped side by side the TF4, Subtank Mini, Starre, and the Silo. I had fun this morning lol, the Crown beats them all for flavor, there is just no denying it. It's like dripping..I still feel that the coil isn't fully broke in either :)...but then my juice also knocks the socks off most of what you can buy so that does make a huge difference :thumb:

Sorry for the gush fest but I'll probably sell off my other tanks now due to this one, well expect this setup :)

See, your kinda a punk.... :) Nice looking setup, but I think I like the blue hex setup better.

Black coils? I dont know about that.... No telling what is going to be in the paint they would use on the housing and Im not to cool with unknow stuff leeching into my juice. Maybe if they annodized it, but that dosent work on SS... Ooh, black chrome? That could look nice.. ut with your window tint you put on it I think you already have a good solution.

Yeah that's a good point, I always buy colored glass for my tanks and if nobody makes them, I tint them myself, it's sort of a habit and something I always do.
The Hex setup is better but that's my out and about setup and works well, the Rixsta was etched onto the mod and then polished, the work was done by Phiniac, fantastic job they made of it too.
Going back to the Crown, I have been vaping my old Strawberry and cream juice, I know exactly what it tastes like as It's my daily vape and the Strawberry pops more in the Crown for sure, there is just no escaping the fact that you don't need all these fancy coils to get flavor, the Crown does a great job of that, well the best job with it's dual coil.

And my black crown will be here tomorrow. YAY! gonna compare it to my TFV4 which I really like. I know my DIY flavors pop more in my TFV4 than they do in my subtank Mini, I can only imagine how they do in the crown.
I will say, it does take a little getting used to, coming from the TFV4. I'm not sure whether it's the sound the Crown makes due to the airflow when you inhale or what but the TFV4 just seems a little smoother to vape, it's really hard to explain. I have found you don't need to draw on it as hard either, these crown coils seems more active too, little more popping and bubbles going on it there, where as the TFV4 do, erm, nothing.

yea, the TFV4 was a little disconcerting when I first started using it. I was used to everything else popping, spitting, gurgling, singing me a sweet vape song. I started hitting the TFV4 and got nothing. a slight hiss to let me know it was working, but nothing else. Kinda like an RDA on mute.
