What's the average life expectancy of these coils? I got about a day and half from .5 vaping it at 40 watts 500° F. Towards the end, burnt hit city, not dry hit. Looked at the coil and it was a dark gooey walnut and the wire wasn't even visible. vaping - Teleos Pound Cake. I'm guessing these coils can't stand up to gunking juices. I don't think I'll be buying the pre made heads, I m gonna wick this rba section up and just try to use that. I also doubt that these SS coils will actually be useable in temp mode on a Yihi device, considering the lowest TCR curve is somewhere around .0035-.0040 for Ti01. SS TCR curve is around .0010. Better off running it in power mode til Yihi does a SS update. But As long as it vapes good and yer happy............rock out.

My last coil change date on my primary tank was 8/15. So I have ran a .25 @ 95 watts for 4 weeks and its going strong. If a coil is gone in 2 days it was not primed well enough in the beginning *OR* you have a defective coil *OR* your juice is pure sugar tar mixed with honey with a touch of glue :)

The quickest I had a Crown coil go was 2.5 weeks and it only happened once. I can't speak much to the Ni coil.

I know sucks but I kinda had a feeling this would happen, that's why I sprung for the rba. I primed her all nice and sexy like. Let it sit and soak for about 5 min, started off at 25 watts and after every 3-5 hits bumped it up 2 watts till I hit 40 watts or 500°F. I found that most of the Teleos line of juices are so sweet, if I vape em too much too fast my teeth hurt they're so sweet.

Sounds like Vapeshack808 out of Hawaii. I ordered a Strawberry and Peanut Butter cup from them with 2 extra shots and it was pure sugar sweet. You may like it, cheap also.

OK, right now my settings on SXmini M are 35J 425F Standard resistance 0.51 Ohm Ti01. It is my understanding when in Joule mode that is TC mode, but whatever I am getting great results with SS 0.5 coil.

sx350-j v2.23 is the latest upgrade installed, actual reading from display is 35.01 J, 4.42v, 0.51 Ohm, 425f, M1 standard.

Main menu settings 35J, 425f, temp f, coil ti01,exit on, sys on, link off, power and Joule set to Joule, I have also used Ni mode it works ok but in my opinion Ti is better.
I can't say for sure my settings are correct for TC but I have not had a dry hit, but so far have always had juice in the tank, maybe I fluked it but its working fine for me.
Hope you get it sorted....burnie

Yes I meant Joule mode, and nothing much different in my settings I've tried it again but still no succes.
When I pop in a new coil I'll try it again, thanks for sharing it anyway.

Sort of same for me, my coils last about 2/3 days, the longest so far of all pre-built coils I've tried so I'm actually happy with that result.

My ADV is Rocket Fuel Reaper blend and my coils never last long.

I've tried so many different ones (with own built coils in RTA's it's even worse) and when I read all the stores about weeks / months lastig coils I always get jalous..

And yes let's hope for that SS update!

Playing with TC on my IPV4 with he .25 SS coils. Hve the mod in TI mode, temp at 300f power set at 40J. nice cool/warm vape... But I have been getting spit back. regardles how I set the mod, I get spit back. tc mode, straight power mode, it dosent matter. It spits at me. I got spoiled with my TFV4 as it never spit at me...

Anyone wanna share their settings that dont spit? I love the looks of the tank, Black tank on my black IPV4 looks so good, but that is the only benefit I can find right now over my TFV4.... gave up on TC, trying power mode again. up to 100W trying to get away from spitting... Cant stand drinking my juice, I wanna VAPE it!!

I wouldn't use TC with the SS coils, at least not on the IPV4. Have you tried the Ni coil with TC mode?

Guess it would be good if Uwell comes up with SS Mesh anti spitback rings like those on the Eleaf coils, should be easy to DIY for folk with SS mesh hanging around along with the right size punches.
Glad to say I have not had any spit back, but so far have only used 0.5 SS never exceeding 35J and much lower temp 425F.

The YouTube Crown God, Darryl of Quest4Vape provided me with a tip on filling which worked for me and permits the addition of more juice. Apparently, sometimes the pressure in the tank after the top cap is installed forces juice out of the wicking holes and floods the air holes. At your own risk please:

I leave the air holes open during a fill and was able to fill right up to touching the fill slot holes and no leaks out of the air holes. This fixed my fill issue on my unit and I appear to be one of the few with this issue so maybe the tolerances are a factor. No complaints.

:)

Huh, I feel dumb. I didnt think mine came with a NI coil... I read the packaging and thought is said the spare cois were both SS. after this tank is empty Ill pull th coild and try the NI coil.

Glad to say I have not had any spit back, but so far have only used 0.5 SS never exceeding 35J and much lower temp 425F.

Maybe Im being dense, but if you set your temp, the Higher Joule setting just gets it to that temp quicker, right? Not sure how your setting of 425f is much lower than mine at 325f...

Just got back from a local B&M. had the crown with me. there was a guy trying to decide between the Crown and TFV4 there. One of the workers had a TFV4 on his mod and let the guy look at it and try it. So I let the guy try my Crown as well. The guy accidentally knocked my tank onto the floor breaking the glass... He was rather upset that he did that, and honestly I was a little annoyed to. But the shop owner knows me fairly well and pulled a brand new black crown still sealed in the package out from under the counter and handed it to me. Then I got to choose what juice I wanted it filled with. One god thing about small town B&M's they get to know their customers and most times they try to keep regulars happy. So now I have one tank, two spare glass sections, and 4 spare coils. Guy ended up buying Both tanks as he couldnt decide which one he wanted.

I kind of wish they had 2-3 packaging options. I have no use for the NI coil as I dont have a temp control device and my mod has no problem with the .25 coil. I wish you get get 1 package that is for temp control and 1-2 packages for non temp controll. Would be great if I could have gotten 3 .25 heads and if I had planned to use it on my iStick 50 3 .5 heads. Wishful thinking though, this is way easier for them.

I'm sitting here on my front porch in my own personal weather system thanks to this tank. No gurgling, no leaks, no spit back. Running at 90 watts after a suitably long break in period and coming from a emow kit this is just amazing. I think I'm driving my wife nuts with my gushing over this new set up. Big thanks to everyone on these forums and in this thread in particular. Your collective insights pointed me to this set up.

So I put the nickel coil in and I'm using temp control now. Have it set at 425 degree @ 40 jewels. Loving this tank. I did not have as good of luck with using the stainless steel coils on normal power mode, but as far as a temp control tank this thing is great. I plan on keeping it for temp control and using my TFv4 for power mode. And I get the best of both worlds

Thats what I have decided too. When I want flavor I use the Crown with Ni, when I want massive clouds I use the TVF4. I have some Ni air coils on the way, going to see if the TFV4 can keep up with the Crown in the flavor department with Ni or Ti.

My bad
Reader Error I guess! its obvious I misread your post as 425F is higher than 325F.
