I like the sound of that explanation..
I keep bugging the sales person over at uwell that I coppospond with about when they are releasing a new tank, I talked to her a couple of days ago and she said nothing new was coming out THIS month.

Package arrived today, 2 black tanks, 4 packs of .25 and 2 packs of Ni.

I needed to change a coil in one of my SS tanks today, darn coil only last a month! (pos) haha

Anyway I snagged a .25 from the new pack of coils vs. my old stash. Only thing notable was the little rubber insulator was black vs. white and otherwise looks the same. I'm doing my break in tank right now so I am just at 45 watts right now. I will keep any eye on this one to see if any "burnt dry hits" happen in 2 days like so many are posting.

We shall see.......... I will be at 110-115 watts shortly.

I'm psyched because I just got my first pack of .25's today with some .5's on the way. Here's my quandary. I hear people talking about the long life they get out of the SS coils I would assume by vaping them at lower wattages. My thing is, I don't get flavor out of the .25 until 60 watts. My ideal is 90. But using the one that came with the tank at 90 watts every day it lasted me about a week. So I'm gonna try this .25 at 70 watts or so and see what kinda life I get. But man, i loooove the .25 at 90 watts lol.
And I couldn't get into the nickel coil I was just finding it flavorless. But I am expecting a dna200 mod soon so I may try the nickel again with dna200 power and settings. Anyone have any suggestions either on prolonging SS coil life or experience with Uwell nickel and the dna200?

With the DNA200 couldn't you use the SS coils with TC as well?

I've found the .15's last as long as the SS, but the taste just isn't there after about two weeks.

The SS coils seem to work for me the best.

I was chain vaping my .25Ω Crown at 120W exhaling through my nose at a big B&M grand opening yesterday.
Don't do that with distilled water in your Max VG juice.
I had water running down into my stache. I mean a lot.
DW thinned Max VG vapor starts the tap aflowing when you exhale through your nose.

The Crown took 5 or 6 huge 120W hits in a row without a hint of a dry burn or scorching.
Love this tank.

I like my .25Ω at 65W unless it's already cloudy or while driving then 80W

I know that's not an answer to your question @pany [HASHTAG]#justsayin[/HASHTAG]

After 1st tank break in I only use this coil at 95-115, that is the sweet spot. You are absolutely on point though mine usually last month.

Still waiting to get my DNA 200, but when it arrived, I plan to use TCR | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators to create a CSV file for input into the escribe software. There is an entry on that page for "SS 316L / Elite (TFR)", which is the SS wire used on the Crown, and you can set the resistance to either .25 or .50 in the upper right. This page indicates it is obsolete and being replaced by Wire Wizard | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators but I can't figure out how to easily setup this other wizard as I don't know the coil specs (diam, coil size, etc).

Vaping at that wattage level every day they last you a month? Do you always use the same flavor juice? What pgvg mix do you use?

I rarely change flavor on a coil and everything is 80-90 VG. I really think that once you get them properly primed and broken in that keeping that juice warmed up and flowing in 90-110 range *IS* the way to long coil life. :) It's really not that warm IMO.

I have been using these tanks since page 3 of this thread. I have never vaped it less than 90.

Just a quick thought about a few of the recent posts. Specifically, those that crank to roughly 80 Watts and more. Yea I get it but here is the critical issue IMHO.

Correct priming and break in. That's everything in my book. Even more important if your "pushing" the coil with enough watts to light Times Square. /lol /joke Watch Darryl's video and then with those fundamentals in mind, adept it to your own preferred method.

I admit when I first got my SS my alleged mind thought it was a KFL so I didn't wait long enough and properly ramp up slowly. Live and learn. My new "Black" of course is a different story so it will sit for a few hours and then slowly ramp for max flavor. I'm probably using "better safe than sorry" but I don't want any "premature failure" and thus I want the SS 0.5 head to last as long as possible.

Have fun

:)
