Just a quick help please. I have been using the crown for a couple of months with the 0.5 ss coils with no major problems do far. Tomorrow I will be trying the included nickel coil with tc control on sigelei 150w tc. I have never used the mod in tc mode before so I would be greatfull if you could suggest the proper settings for this coil. At what temp and joules should I start to break in the coil and how much I can go upto. Thanks in advance.
Everyone's tastes are different. But I have mine at 450f and around 60W.

I have tried searching this thread but havent seen anything specific to this but my apologies if I missed it. I was wondering if anyone had used the ss coils in tc, and if so, what settings worked best for you? I was reading that they can be used in SS TC even though they have nickel legs. Wondering if anyone has experimented with this yet.

Just heard UWELL is releasing the gold version of the crown, looks great. Just picked up some temperature control coils for my black crown today. TC at 50J, 250C. Less lung hit but the flavor is better on my box mod. Pretty happy with the crown have been using it for quite some time and it still works great.

So Cal
So Best bet is going to be return to Uwell? no possible fixes for it?
That's all I could do - I tried it in three different crown bases, and none would read it. If there's a fix, I'm not aware!

However, in my opinion it wasn't worth the postage - I never use it now that I've tried it!

With the crown tank I have I have to keep unscrewing the top so it will wick. Has anyone had that problem

I followed that advice to open the top from another and it did help. Mine does not leak so I do not suspect a bad o ring but maybe their is a vacuum leak somewhere.

Also, I removed gunk from the exposed cotton at the top with a tweezer. However, the flavor and vapor then became muted. For a wide coil, not much of it is exposed, not sure if that matters with high VG or sweet?

Last, if I tighten the airflow even a little, the tank gets hot down by the coil, which seems to aggravate these issues.

Yes, Ni is worse than the other 2 SS. I've followed the whole priming sequence as seen on the vids, and then some, such as letting it sit overnight to saturate. I think in my case it might be the wrong juices and liking a slightly tighter draw that are compounding the issues. I have not chain vaped it or gotten much above 70w, and I closed the airflow just 1 click.

What I haven't yet tried is using a small needle to poke holes through the wicking openings. Not sure how many...... I don't want to fry another coil, but maybe someone knows the way on that, or if it helps.

If it's any clue, my Arctic has this to a lesser extent, the Herakles is no problem, and the Atlantis 2 does not taste good enough to bother with the 0.3---- And I can abuse the hell out of my little Kanger Sub Mini work/car tank at 28w with 0.5 and it never bites me back, though it sometimes leaks in very small amounts through air holes.

My Crowns never leaked until I did my first build on the Uwell RBA last night.

It worked great until I refilled the tank (topfill) without closing the airflow. Leaked everywhere. When using the prebuilt Uwell coils, it never leaked when I refilled and forgot to close off the airflow.

I attribute that to my coil not being as packed with cotton as the Uwell prebuilt. And also that I really don't have a clue about building except for what I spent watching on YouTube for 5 minutes.:p

BTW, I am a total newbie and I highly recommend the Crown RBA. Super easy to build on and works great (close the airflow when refilling!). Crown prebuilt coils are expensive.... $8-10 for the RBA will pay for itself very quickly.

Great tanks in any case.

I have 2 aromamizers to build on and about to order a black one too. Those are nice but like to get this thing to work when I dont have time to build

With the stock Aromamizer OCC coils, do you rewick, and can you get decent mileage out of them? I hear the flavor and vapor production is not as good as a quality RTA build, but is it an ok experience, as I'm pretty new to this?

For e.g., my Kanger Sub Mini is fine for work or car, but I have no desire to use its' RBA, given the more capable alternatives. I also noticed that the Youde Goliath is a similar setup to the Aromamizer, as an RTA that now has OCC prebuilt factory coils.

Also, thanks to everyone for the advice above, about the Crown RBA and related. I will put that on my list. I see Crown coils for about $12 shipped for an online pack of 4; $3 per coil is not bad, but I think the Crown would become a much nicer tank when no longer needing to work around the quirks of those SS factory coils.

By the way, I just ordered a Vision MK (aka High Voltage) of all things online, for $12 including shipping. How bad can it be for that price? The coils look like longer versions of Arctic coils, with same style of rectangular wicking holes. So, I can have fun with a more or less disposable cloud tank. Waste of $12? Will soon see...... noticed it on Vapecrawler. No option of an RBA section.

Be interested to hear your thoughts on the Vision. Inexpensive tanks don't have to be terrible. Tobeco Super Tank Minis are cheap as an example and I love them. I bought 3 and they were under $20 each even at a B&M.

I will be building coils for my Kanger Sub Mini. As the RBA was included with my tank, and it is almost identical to build on as the Crown, I figured why not?

Every atomizer ought to incorporate those replaceable decks like Steam Crave and Youde are using. Dying for a Nebox or Egrip that would carry them.
