V V mod that can handle LR coils

specifically a genesis atomizer vaper. love vaping at coils using 28g wire and ohms between 0.08 to 1.1. currently i have a provari and a mechanical mod. with the provari i can achieve all this with no problems. i would love to purchase another V V device that can do the same. as far as i know the provari is the only one that can do this, but am not sure. ultimately i may buy another provari but am looking for something a little different. any one out there vaping similiar coils and using something besides a provari?

Most every VV is going to be able to handle this, you just need to take the voltage down as low as it can go. Most VV's have a minimum voltage of 3 volts. For a .08 ohms that is a tad high but I think they pretty much will handle it

I would suggest againt a vmax, not sure about zmax. The vmax is very hot so at 3 volts its actually more like 4+ volts so you might be too hot even at the lowest setting.

just at a quick look with the z &v maxes, people have said they like cut out under 1.2 ohms. just wondering if anyone actually ownes a VVmod other than a provari that are running coils under or at 1.0 ohms.

I don't know for certain but I'd expect that a BuzzPro would be able to handle it also. I don't have one, but my understanding is that there aren't any built in limitations with it.

If I'm wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time (today, even).

The ZMax or Vamo should be able to handle the load. The Zmax is limited to 4 amps and the Vamo 5 amps respectively. If you run either of them with stacked batteries, they should easily be be able to run the LR coils.

A lot of mods won't push anything lower than 1.2 ohm though so keep that in mind.

thats what i thought to , alot of mods do not handle anything under 1.2 ohm coil. so i am thinking that i might be right in saying that only the provari can go to 0.08 . maybe i am in the minority on vaping a VV device with that low of a coil. because i thought i would of gotten alot of responses saying that i vape the same numbers and i use this VV device.

I know it will fire things the ProVari won't, as you indicate, I'm just not sure about the specific example presented by the OP.

Vamo, Zmax, VV Gripper and Vmax refuse to fire attys lower than 1.2.
Classic Lavatube and Imotion3 V+ will do. Latter however will push out 3v as a minimum.

The Stallion APV incorporates the Evolv DNA12 and can handle a 1.1 Ohm load.

looked at the buzz pro. although it is VV there is no ohms and battery read-outs. also no boost voltage. so i will look at some of the others.

I have a Provari and a Buzz Pro. But all my Gennies are tuned high. I have a dual cartomizer adapter. I will throw on 2 2.0 ohm Boge's that will give me 1.0 ohm. I'll try it on the Buzz.

hey jim, i only use gennys so i am not sure if by checking regular carts would be the same.
