I have comparisons of prices for flavorings and stuff between most vendors, so I can give you a hint where to order from, depending how much you want to spend and what sort of flavors you want. I can also try to help you replicate flavors, but it is hard if I never tried it and I pretty much only DIY.
I think I'm giving up even trying to clean most things, just isn't worth it to me, so I can't be much help. I don't think the problem is the actual thickness of a juice unless you are having wicking issues and burning filler/wick. I think it is just VG and/or sticky sugars or other flavor components burning. Even when I have used light-flavored 80% PG juices with no sweetener I would get a black glaze over my CE2 coils after less than 10ml vaped. The temperature of atty coils skyrocket when not wet, so why the Gold V2 is probably working better is that it stays moist and cool.
