I've been thinking about this and what if there was a mod that accepted a standard V4L Batt/smaller batt and added in a Step-Up DC-DC Converter (maybe in a side-by-side configuration). Ive been doing a little searching and something like the MAX756 3.3V/5V Step-Up DC-DC Converter could work. Mind you this one is only 200ma, but I woud think someone makes a step-up with higher ma output.

The downsides to this would be the slightly larger size and shorter battery life (I assume). However with that being said if your goal is a Portable PT, that would do the trick.

My 2cents:

Threaded LED's. Multiple colors of course threaded so that anyone could buy the colors of their choice and change their look easily. It would require redesigning the battery a bit, but it's wired already to the LED, make it an flat contact with the other side being on the back of the screw on LED.

Does that even make sense??

How about a refill kit? It could come with the tools to pull the plug out and a few other little things that could make refilling a little more "organized." You could combine the refill kit with carts/juices and sell it as a kit in and of itself.

Also, maybe a pocket/belt clip style carrying case? Something that would securely hold basically the same as the 2 cart/2 batt carrying case but it could clip on your belt.

Something for the site that has nothing to do with selling: A history of e-cigarettes complete with an educational portion that shows what is used in the juices/carts. It could draw in a few people just wanting to read it and eventually lead to an increase in sales.

I still think if those cartimizers can some how be converted into a cart that can hold 2mls of liquid (801 attie size) without filler man that would be the ultimate vaping machine. That alone would increase happiness in the vaping world... no more pulling or rearranging the filler and no more burnt filler. just simply refill the cartimizer and go... no waiting for the filler to absorb the liquid. jeesh it can be done that e-dobit is a good start with the idea.

Plus that would give the case room for one more cart!

Probably not the mod you are looking for, but what if you made an adapter that would hold two batts side by side and could run parallel or in series, or even have a switch, Call it the Double Barell batt adapter.

The longer case is coming, you can charge the XL bats in the PCC, just can't close the lid. I'd imagine as soon as the case is figured out, a new PCC will follow shortly.

Retractable cord for the pcc as well as passthru, longer and very simple to add to what is already designed. I have seen this retractable cord on mini usb mouse for laptops.

REFILLING SYRINGE for refilling, washing and blowing
As for refilling how about a syringe type of unit that you do not have to remove anything at all to refill a cart? This would use a needle that has a hole in the side of it. It basically blocks off the hole through the cart and shoots the juice into the batting. It would be graduated on the cylinder to allow for exact measurement of the juice that you wish to put in. It also would force the juice into the batting due to the pressure being exerted on the plunger. No more cap removal at all. no more dropping in liquid a drop at a time, no more broken caps. no more lost washers. no more spinning carts in a battery sock. This tool could also be used to wash carts out as well as blowing the washed liquid out of the cart. An interchangable needle could be used to switch from filling to washing if need be. Simple to make, it could use a standard syringe and only the needles would have to be designed, simple to use, affordable and multi-use. Small and would fit right in to most users equipment cases. Can also come in colors and carry the V4L logo.

I don't have time to read the whole thread, so If I repeat someone else's idea just ignore mine. I was going to order the Chuck, but decided not to as I get plenty of battery life with the long VK battery, guess this is enough mod for me, lol. The kits would be nice if they came with both wall/USB chargers, PT, some kind of cord that can go between the wall charger, and the PT so it's longer, also between the pc and PT, a different mouth piece that is more user friendly, and easier to remove for filling, etc. I have a battery pack that works great with the PT, possibly add one of those. Maybe a needle nose type bottle that you could use to get the liquid all the way down the carto. I would perfect the battery and offer less choices, but more colors like purple.

Develop a monster cartomizer that can take the high voltage on mods, that would save people messing with atomizers and juice, and be very convenient. If you made your own mod to go with that then i think you'd reach the simplicity bar like you've already done using the 2 piece KR808 design for the VK.

heck yea I was talking about this the other day in here. did you check out the edobit... if you can fuse that with the caritmizers......... man were looking a long vapeing time. No filler, just insert edobit and vape away. imagine all you have to take out the edobit refill it 2mls worth and insert back. wow that would be a long vape. just an idea....

I like the xl batts,Maybe a fatter xl,like a cigar size around with the logos or single logo with rechargeables inside,small and pretty like a VK.Then we could choose colors and have an led to match it.It would look like a manual VK but fatter and last longer.I think 3.7 volts is enough for cartos,anything higher burns them up to quickly.

One thing I would love to see on an e-cig is the use of rechargeable AA batteries (they could be recharged while in the e-cig battery holder or on an external charger). The current disposable batteries are VERY unfriendly to the environment and needlessly expensive since even the good ones fail so easily. Also, an indicator of the remaining battery power would be fantastic... you would never have to guess when to charge it or if you have enough juice to make it work or wherever you are going. Next, I'd like to see the option to have a white indicator light at the end of the battery, current colors (e.g., red, green, orange) just look dorky. Maybe the indicator lights could be user replaceable... you can order your preferred light color and/or change them as you desire. We definitely need cartos that can be refilled much more often before they die, and they should be longer to hold more juice for fewer refills. It would be nice to be able to recharge the battery without having to take off the carto and to have cartos that don't leak even if you mistakingly draw too hard on them. Having cartos that don't leak when you refill them would be a big improvement too. If I could get all of this in a V4L Vapor King, I'd be in hog heaven.

Not next week, but the week after, I hope to get some time I can spend in the machine shop and build a rough prototype, in size and design that I am thinking of. It wont have electronics in it, but will give the idea of the feel with a carto on it.
I think the 3.7v of a 10440 (AAA size) Lithiom Ion battery, rechargable time and again, should run it nicely and keep it a nice size.

I keep my VK in a clean glass ashtray.

The Iideal "E-Tray" would be a multiple batt charger...have holes to hold carts and/or juice bottles....and of course a nice spot to lay a few Vapor Kings of course.







I know this thread is for a batt mod....sry...I just figure my ideas are great and so far the VK is too.
