Evening all. Was unable to get to ecf yesterday. Went in that morning, stores weren't done with putting up truck, came home and 15 minutes later a band of thunderstorms rolled in. Went back to work at 2:30am this morning... 15 hours later finally home....
Morandir hope you got a little nap while hope yesterday... It's so hot and muggy we won't even be hanging on the deck at all tonight. We are suppose to see storms later tonight into tomorrow then a little cool down. Exhausted from the weekend but had a great time...it was really hard getting back into work today.
Well new GD equals a busier RW. Surprise surprise.

Evening all. Horrible day at work.... Only Tuesday and can't wait for the week to end....
Morning all, it's been a while, I know. Still just not getting on the forums much these days. It's odd how life changes in the blink of an eye but at other times happens so slowly you don't notice it happening.
Instead of twice a day, it's now about twice a week that I drop in here, and even then I don't often have anything to say.
I am loving my Zeus with Smileos though, and vaping happily. It seems that finding a great vaping combination actually contributes to my being around less. Too busy vaping to be complaining, questioning, searching for the 'next big thing'.
Winter is well & truly with us here in Tasmania. After a week of high winds, rain etc now we're having a week of glorious sunshine, freezing cold nights with ice. Snow covers Mount Wellington and it looks beautiful. Worth going into the city just to see it (my views are water, not mountain).
Anyway, that's enough drivel, just wanted to let you know I'm still around. By the way Eleanor, where are pics of the new kitty?

Hey Katz nice to see you. I've been busy lately as well. Work is busy, and the newest little granddaughter is a bit fussy so we've been trying to get down there every other night to give her poor mommy and daddy a break. Our oldest was very fussy for the first few months and we still had three children..I just keep telling them it gets better.

I am gizmo-techno challenged, and therefor unable to take/post any pics of my new "baby." He is about 8 years old, has a very sweet face and sweet kittenish "miaow" to go with it, and is a long-haired black/brindle mix with a HUGE fluffy tail!
I call him "Maxwell." And no, he's not terribly smart!
He looks A LOT like this one, except his pupils aren't all blown:

Evening all. Another long day followed up with the news our "helper" is on vaca next week.... Nice of him to let us know 3 days before he's going.....

He IS gorgeous -- and also very, very sweet and affectionate. Given his rather sad history, he is (surprisingly) not that leery of strangers -- I've had lots of new people at the house since I adopted him, and it only takes him a few minutes to decide that each new person needs to pet him and skritch his ears.
Oh El I'm so happy for you...getting settled and having a new cat to love...all is good. Been so dang busy lately I can hardly keep up, but everything is wonderful so I just hold on for the ride

Woke up with a full-blown cold. I felt fine yesterday, blah today. Oh well, since giving up the nasties, I've had surprisingly few colds & no bronchitis.
