I debated for a few on whether or not to make a thread for you Ms. Anita.... You do deserve it... Just not up to dealing with the backlash.......

No Thread is worth any bad happening to my dear friends Morandir ♥ And you all are too. So accept my thank yous for not doing it, k ?

That is good to know Joyce...thank you:)

Gram...the only problem with keeping those things here is that the V4L team also likes to send their congrats on milestones....and I am really tired of all the him haw about being rude and disrespectful when they are completely ignoring what the team...you know those that PAY for this forum.....have said.....so...IMO out of respect for Anita's wishes her congrats can remain here, but I am not gonna hide the milestones! The team likes being involved and therefore it is a-okay to make those threads.

Now....I HAVE SUNSHINE!!!! All morning....at least for another hour...then the nasty storms move in for the rest of the day and most of tomorrow.....so I am sooo enjoying seeing that bright light in the sky...I had to ponder for quite a while as to what it was...lol

ha...Morandir dear...you beat me to it again....:p

Actually hon...I am....lol....

Mooke....yep...dark chocolate is REALLY bad for the dogs....and regular chocolate affects smaller dogs worse....it gets their heart beating too fast (in a lot of cases). It is a rarity that a dog does actually die from eating chocolate, but it is ill advised to give on a daily basis as a nice sweet treat....they do have a natural substance (can't remember the name right now) that tastes like chocolate that can be used in making dog treats....I have yet to get any as I have to go to the health food store to get it....I had a Golden when I was little that ate my 1lb candy bar too...I was sooo mad at here...it was a birthday gift from a friend....course I was more worried about her....and my lovely babies now...well, if there is chocolate to be found, they will find it....and yep they will eat just the wrappers if all else fails....crazy critters:)

Thanks all for your well wishes for my kid....he got done early, but still had to wait for me....think I'll hang out and read there tomorrow till he's done.....sheesh...3 days of this...blah....

Oops. Sorry 'bout that. :)

As to the "chocolate"for dogs. Yanno, I love my Frodo, and I do buy him treats, but I usually stick with the giant bag of Milk Bones from Sam's Club. I do buy him the nyla bones or the little funky smelling green treats that make his breath smile better, but I have to draw the line there. Oh wait, I baked him a batch of Scottish Oat Bread Cookies once...well, I baked them for hubby after we tried them in Nova Scotia, but hubby said they were only good for dog treats (Score Frodo).
We were picking out ice cream at the grocery store the other day and they had frozen doggie treats in the freezer next to my lime sherbert...what's up with that? I guess I'm just an old farm girl who thought that a dog treat was when the chicken was too slow to escape.

hehehe...no prob Rappel...not much grosses me out:)

The frozen treats.....they LOVE them....I will get them in the summer, and then keep the containers and reuse with yogurt and peanut butter.....freeze it, and they have another treat for another day:)

I used to make all kinds of treats for the dogs....just have not gotten back into that groove since Christmas. Liver brownies, and and smoothies (which really are more popsicles without the sticks...lol) and crunchies, and even kitty treats with salmon, or liver, or tuna.....and they know it too....I have a sea of doggies covering the kitchen floor when I'm cookin them somethin good:)
