Lol!!! I got confused and thought this was another thread...
Anyway, my parents are doing ok. The news said that the water leak should be fixed by noon today (but who knows), but my mom said that they've been having rolling blackouts all morning.
And I'm not quite sure what "shelter in place" means either. I think it's the opposite of an evacuation. They don't want people packing up their stuff and leaving (we saw how bad that could be!) just stay at home and try not to breathe. These things are pretty common down there. Especially when there are explosions out there (darn BP!! And this time it means British Petroleum, not big pharm ;) ). My parents actually got stuck in a lockdown at the hospital for the big one a couple years ago.
Guess I'll go check FB to see how everyone else is doing.
Hope everyone here is having a good morning...I'm not awake yet.

Wow!! WTG Anita!!
And LOL at cheez-it ;)
I'm not sure how long this one will last. It was evidently a pretty huge leak! My parents actually live on an island (Galveston) not where the leak happened, but pretty close. So I'm not too worried about them breathing in too many toxins...you know, more than normal. But the blackouts and water restrictions are affecting them more. They will be fine though. Just can't water the grass or wash their car. My mom did say alarms had been going off all day yesterday, so I think they are inciting panic more that anything.
